The Bit Short: Inside Crypto’s Doomsday Machine | by Crypto Anonymous | Jan, 2021 | Medium
This is the story of a Bitcoin trade — the most financially impactful trade I’ve ever made in my life.
It’s also the story of the deep-yet-frantic investigation of the crypto ecosystem that led me to make that trade.
And it’s the story of what’s really going on in crypto — and what we should do about it.

I thought this was a good up-to-date discussion of what is going on with COVID-19, the COVID-19 vaccinations, wearing a mask after getting vaccinated, and much more. Mostly a United States focus but the interview does discuss stuff that affects everyone.

Dr. Sanjay Gupta Discusses the Coronavirus On the Late Show With Stephen Colbert

Note: The link skips the first couple of minutes and goes directly to discussion on coronavirus. You can stop watching when they start talking about Gupta's new book.

An addendum to the "Plastic Recycling is an Actual Scam" video.
It's like it was decided to give Big Oil a free pass to help push humanity over the cliff and commit suicide. I guess the money helps to sleep well at night despite the destruction of the planet and mankind. At the point that unborn babies have millions of plastic particles floating through them, you would think governments around the world would get a clue and stop running full speed towards that cliff.

Another good video as to how we got into this absolute insanity with plastics and recycling.

@jballi, very interesting. I understand 'they' (CDC committee of some kind) just added a '1c' category, though, which may change these calculations.

The committee vote also included prioritizing adults ages 65 to 75, people ages 16 to 64 with high-risk medical conditions and "other essential workers" in "Phase 1c" of allocation.

Yes, plastic recycling is a scam and has been from the beginning. This video does a good job of identifying the problem. It does include some solutions but plastic pollution is a gigantic problem. Awareness is the first step.

Totally agree with you. I'm just not understanding how we haven't found plastic alternatives or come up with biodegradable plastics by now. And mankind better come up with a solution soon.

That's a fair an(nu)al $15.6K. Simply add it to your $70K hairstyling ;)
I think that many regular (read: poor) people like me would never buy anything that expensive if they annualized the cost. $15.6K a year. Holy crap! Try breaking it down by the month. $1,300 a month to own a TV that in 10 years you will have to throw in the trash. Yes, you probably can make it last a few years longer by watching it less but why would you buy a very expensive TV that you don't watch?!

$70K paid to style Trump’s hair for television, claimed as expenses. It's a lot but putting a full-time hair stylist on the payroll in New York could easily cost $70K. I was more surprised about the $421 million in outstanding loans that Trump owes, most of which becomes due within the next four years. $421 million to a supposed multi-billionaire is not that big of a deal but Trump has paid $0 in federal tax in 10 of the previous 15 years, including 2014 and 2015 and has only paid $750 in two of those years. That's 750 dollars, not $750K. How can you pay off a $421 million loan if you are reporting a loss most of the time and very little income the rest of the time? Trump also received a $72.9 million tax refund from the IRS which is now the subject of a decade-long audit battle with the IRS. It covered all the federal tax he paid between 2005 and 2008. One last thing... Trump is a long-term drug user and it has caused all kinds of problems. It didn't stop when he became president. #DiaperDon: Former Apprentice Staffer Noel Casler Reveals All
