Re: FindText - Capture screen image into text and then find it Topic is solved

Hello feiyue, Thank you for amazing script, have been working with it for few months now. I have been using FindTextOCR() function to OCR simple text. Works great. I am trying to work with multiple text lines, seems this function does not support multiple lines of text? Is this something possible to...

Re: FindText - Capture screen image into text and then find it Topic is solved

@leosouza85 I have been thinking about your idea (wild character) and agree it's much better then auto error calculation. I use the function for OCR purposes and it works great and it's fast, but at times I have to play with thresholds because pixels show or don't show in certain areas depending on ...

Re: FindText - Capture screen image into text and then find it Topic is solved

I am progressing with my FindTextOCR function and have hit a rock that I can't pass by.... Please any help would be appreciated and you guys have been awesome.... It happens the font that is being used by system has same pixel image for letter "l" and "i", when letter "i" is capital. So "II" looks t...

Re: FindText - Capture screen image into text and then find it Topic is solved

Hi leosouza85, [/quote] Im sugesting, that via a third character, like _ ° *, you can manually select the pixels to ignore, instead the automatic error tolerance... Like if you know that a specific part of the image always change, or you want to avoid a false positive in a specific part of the image...

Re: FindText - Capture screen image into text and then find it Topic is solved

Hi leosouza85,
Can you please be more specific. Because it seems like what are you trying to do is already built-in the function. The function ignores the characters it cannot find.

Re: FindText - Capture screen image into text and then find it Topic is solved

If you want to identify English words and match it with 100%, you can use 0.00001 instead of 0 as the fault-tolerant value, avoiding an automatic 10% second attempt. Feiyue, thank you for pointing out 0.00001 ability of the function. I have done some research and it seems that is has worked...I'll ...

Re: FindText - Capture screen image into text and then find it Topic is solved

I have been working with this script for a couple weeks now and came to stump that I can't figure it out. I am using the following OCR function. FindTextOCR(nX, nY, nW, nH, err1, err0, Text, Interval=20) { OCR:="", RightX:=nX+nW-1 While (ok:=FindText(nX, nY, nW, nH, err1, err0, Text)) { ; For multi ...

Re: FindText - Capture screen image into text and then find it Topic is solved

I am continuing to work with the function, but strange behaviour I have discovered. Using the following text: Text:="" Text.="|<1>*160$4.009e8W802" Text.="|<2>*160$4.00yF5gw02" Text.="|<3>*160$6.000Sm2C3nS000U" Text.="|<4>*160$6.00066+Gz22000U" Text.="|<5>*160$4.00yDY9w02" Text.="|<6>*160$6.000SHynl...

Re: FindText - Capture screen image into text and then find it Topic is solved

Thank you feiyue for fast reply and you are genius. It works great.....Thank you again. I was trying to make the box static on the screen, at certain coordinates and not to move. I think I should be able to figure it out in a few.... The coordinates for findtext() seem tricky. Once I figure it out, ...

Re: FindText - Capture screen image into text and then find it Topic is solved

Hello, feiyue Once again thank you for such amazing script. I am trying to implement this script into my process, and it seems that I have ran into a conflict. I am drying to draw boxes around searched area using GDIp_All. It seem there some kind of conflict, when FindTextOCR() and GDip all is used....

Dangers of Mcode?

Hello, I am bit new to AHK scripting and have done few scripts my self. When playing with other scripts I have came across Mcode. I did bit research on it and a bit confused about security of it. Re: FindText - Capture screen image into text and then find it Topic is solved

Hello, feiyue Very good script you have. A+. :bravo: I have read through most of the 9 pages of text on this forum to get information about it. I was wondering why do you have x32 and x64 encoding in the script? Is this for security of your script or translation from C code that is posted on the bot...

Re: Vis2 - Image to Text OCR()

Hi, Iseahound,

Speaking of accuracy, I was thinking of using blacklist and creating two different ocr()'s. One for alpha and one for numeric. Is there a blacklist function like whitelist?

Thank you.

Re: Vis2 - Image to Text OCR()

Dear iseahound, Thank you for your reply. Your suggestion of whitelist digits made it faster. However, I was thinking that it would work only with digits, but apparently it still reads English characters. This is good, because not all of my fields are numbers. Also, I will try to whitelist letters, ...

Re: Vis2 - OCR(), ImageIdentify()

Iseahound, To optimize the use of Vis2 when OCR() is being called multiple times (10x+) on the same screen, with specific areas of the screen. With small amount of text and a lot of calls Vis2 can be slow. I don't know how Vis2 works in background, but I imagine that for each OCR() call it takes a s...

Re: Vis2 - OCR(), ImageIdentify()

Thank you, iseahound. I have set segmentation mode to single character and it works now on all examples from above. Thank you for suggesting using other services, but so far VIS is the best solution that I have found and I can implement.

I have tried with single digits as well. No luck here. I have no control of image size or the background, but they stay constant same size and same color.

Thank you in advance.

Re: Vis2 - OCR(), ImageIdentify()

Thank you iseahound very useful script. I have been trying to implemented to speed up the process of certain tasks. I ran into trouble OCR certain parts of my screen.
