Re: Gui context menus shrink when you show a menu that has already been assigned

Menu Show : Any menu can be shown, including the tray menu but with the exception of GUI menu bars . Gui Menu : Once a menu has been used as a menu bar, it should not be used as a popup menu or a submenu. This is because menu bars internally require a different format (however, this restriction app...

Re: soundplay filename length limit?

Oops, my bad. The limit is 255. But please test any value between 128 and 255, not exactly the upper limit.

Re: soundplay filename length limit?

After some testing, it turned out that apparently only the path names of WAV files are affected by this 127-character-limit. For example, MP3 files with a path name longer than 127 characters will work, but only up to a maximum of 255 characters.

Re: RegExMatch ErrorLevel seems inconsistent with documentation Topic is solved

ErrorLevel is not intended to be used like this.

The correct way with ErrorLevel:

Code: Select all

match_position := RegexMatch("blah", "(?:incomplete[")
if ErrorLevel
	MsgBox % ErrorLevel
The correct way with try-catch:

Code: Select all

try
	match_position := RegexMatch("blah", "(?:incomplete[")
catch e
	MsgBox % e.message

Omitting TickInterval's value (slider option)

Slider option TickInterval states: After the word TickInterval, specify the interval at which to display additional tickmarks (if the interval is omitted, it is assumed to be 1) . Unless I'm mistaken, this means that TickInterval and TickInterval1 should do the same, but they don't. TickInterval re...

Re: Buggy Help (chm) file of AHK 1.1.30

You can use the settings (the gear icon in the toolbar at the top of the CHM) to select a tab you want starting with and other things.

Re: Buggy Help (chm) file of AHK 1.1.30

Thanks, but we're not done yet :) Now we have to find out what exactly is problematic in this line. Please try the following modified CHM. Theoretically the script error should occur again, but should be more helpful (at least for me). If so, post it.

Re: Buggy Help (chm) file of AHK 1.1.30

I just commented out line 114. Can you please try the following CHM to see if you still get the script error? If so, post the error message again.

Re: Buggy Help (chm) file of AHK 1.1.30

I used to get this all the time since moving to Windows 10. In my case, it has to do with the "Highlight all matches" option, which is enabled by default. If the page has enough content on it, the dialog will miss keystrokes while it performs the highlighting. It is not specific to the new document...

Re: Buggy Help (chm) file of AHK 1.1.30

It would be interesting to know which AutoHotkey version you are using and what exactly this script error reports.

Rajat's IntelliSense should not be the cause of this problem.

Re: Buggy Help (chm) file of AHK 1.1.30

I have also encountered a problem with the new help file: the Ctrl+F text search box misses characters when typing very fast, so for example if I type "hidden" only "hiddn" or "hidde" is registered. Has anyone else noticed this? No, I couldn't reproduce this issue (tested on Win10/IE11 and WinXP/IE...

Additionally, you can edit ScriptParser.ahk in the official GitHub repository of Ahk2Exe to have your change included in the next release.

BTW the download link you provided doesn't work.

So what about

Re: Suggestions on documentation improvements

"present by default" means more like "this style is present by default". The default styles of a GUI window are WS_POPUP, WS_CAPTION, WS_SYSMENU and WS_MINIMIZEBOX (see common styles ). As you can see, WS_MAXIMIZEBOX alias MaximizeBox is not included. Regarding point 2, I will add the following sent...
