Functions inside objects questions

I am just now starting to get the grasp using arrays and objects, and would like to better understand them. The tutorial is great, but I find it easier to learn when I have real examples. Can someone provide some simple examples of when functions inside objects come in handy? Is a method just a func...

Re: Create named arrays from rows Topic is solved

Sorry. My initial post wasn't exactly clear. I was just using the list above as an example. I am actually reading from a csv file with an indeterminate number of lines. When it reads a line, I want each line to be stored as an array but have that array named after the first column. So basically List...

Create named arrays from rows Topic is solved

I have been trying to figure this out. I have a list and want to create arrays from every line, but I want also to name the array for each line after the first column. I am just not sure what I am missing here. #SingleInstance, Force TaskX := [] List = ( ListA Info more Info ListB Data more Data ) L...

Re: Manipulating multiple lists Topic is solved

That is actually, a very good idea. In fact, I think I'll turn the entire CSV into an array. That way I can delete lines and add new lines as needed.

Re: VBS Files Not Moving Topic is solved

@Xtra,

I am curious. I have had mixed results with Winwait. I often find it doesn't work, and use the If winexist. Have you had consistant results?

Manipulating multiple lists Topic is solved

This is more of a general question about how to approach a task than about a specific piece of code. My question is how to go about this or if there is a better way? I have a CSV file. I am parsing the CSV file line by line. The first column contains the categories. So for example any lines, contain...

Color individual rows in a listview.

Is there any way to color individual rows of a list view? I use list views to display and select tasks with due dates. Having past dues show up as red would be a big help. I can find nothing in the docs about it, and I prefer to use AHK without additional libraries.

Two Listviews? Topic is solved

I have 2 Gui's with 2 listviews but it seems AHK can't differentiate one LV from another. I read the help files but was confused as to how I can show both lists separately. #SingleInstance, force ListA = ( ABC DEF GHI ) listB = ( 123 456 789 ) Gui, +AlwaysOnTop Gui, Add, Edit,, Gui, Add, ListView, w...

Need help with a task scheduler

I am a creating simple a task scheduler based on settings in an array. The task scheduler looks at whatever day of the week today is, looks behind to create past due dates, and looks ahead to create new task dates. It also rolls past due dates into the next week. For example, if today is Friday, Sun...

Is there a simplified way to extract the variable?

VarX := (Var1 = 1) ? "Var" 1 : (Var2 = 1) ? "Var" 2 : (Var3 = 1) ? "Var" 3 MsgBox % VarX but is there ...

Re: Extracting and Zipping .7z folders? Topic is solved

Yes that is possible You will need to learn the 7z.exe command line parameters to specify a password and an extract directory, then you would just use a Run command with 7z.exe and specify those parameters Same thing with re-zipping with a password For loading text into a gui use FileRead https://s...
