Re: SendInput does not always buffer keystrokes

Thank you for the detailed information. I only code as a hobby, so I may need to read this 30+ more times to fully grasp all of the information contained here. Just to ensure I'm conveying my message clearly, I'm going to restate some facts. I have tested this when: 1.) This single line of code is t...

Re: SendInput does not always buffer keystrokes

I have tried to eliminate the external keyboard hook conflict by: 1.) Isolating this one line of code to its own script 2.) Removing the dollar sign 3.) Not installing the keyboard or mouse hook 4.) Not specifing the send mode However, I am still getting the same behavior. Sendevent exhibits the sam...

SendInput does not always buffer keystrokes

I discussed the behavior previously in this posting: https://www.autohotkey.com/boards/viewtopic.php?f=76&t=65593&p=281694#p281694 $!Lbutton:: SendInput {Click, 2} To my understanding, the above code should buffer all keyboard strokes until after the script is complete. In most cases it does. Howeve...

Re: Occasional Double Click Problem

There was a reason I settled on the Alt key instead of other options. I avoided Ctrl and Shift since they are typically used to select multiple files. I don't recall why I avoided the windows key, but if I remember I'll post it. Even if I did pick another key, I wonder if I would have a similar prob...

Re: Occasional Double Click Problem

So I did get this to work by using a combination of blockinput and sleep. However, to get blockinput to work, the script must be run as an administrator; which is a pain in the rear thanks to the UAC. $!Lbutton:: blockinput on SendInput {Click 2} sleep 50 blockinput off return I did switch the send ...

Re: Occasional Double Click Problem

So I've learned a new skill or two and I've got a little more information that might help someone enlighten me or lead me down the correct path. When I pull the key history, this is what it looks like when the script works correctly: VK SC Type Up/Dn Elapsed Key Window ------------------------------...

Re: Occasional Double Click Problem

I like that thought, but unfortunately, I still get the same behavior. I assume that the mouse clicks I'm sending get caught up in a queue somewhere in the OS. Then they don't actually register until the send command has already passed, at which point the alt button that I'm holding down is no longe...

Occasional Double Click Problem

Hello all, I have a very large script, approximately 600 lines of code which help me to eliminate keystrokes throughout my day; however, I've always had intermittent trouble with one particular line. $!Lbutton:: Send, {click 2} This line allows me to navigate deep file paths hastily, which is the on...

Re: New Windows iTunes Inactive Window Volume Keys

I don't use iTunes, but this works for my media player, so I might be able to save you a few lines of code. Since I don't have iTunes installed I haven't tested this out; so you might have to tweak it. Keep detect hidden windows on. #ifwinexist ahk_class iTunes ;if this window exists then enact thes...
