I don't know about the error you get, but I think there's no way to handle InPrivate windows from IE's objects. Thanks for the reply. I've already tried to close the connection and releasing the COM object (and both), but it made no difference. You can use the task scheduler to run your exe at startup. Personally, I've never trusted the startup folder, so I've always used the scheduler instead.
