Re: Terminating a Script When a Window No Longer Exists

I have tried using the following commands to terminate the execution of a script when the specified window no longer exists, but the script was still running: #ifwinnotexist Pocket Oxford American dictionary - Adobe Acrobat Pro DC exitapp #ifwinnotexist What commands can be used to exit the program...

Re: COM, Outlook, ClipboardAll

I would start with the body of the email blank, do the paste, then with some string manipulation put stuff before and after the pasted HTML data. Here is an example. olApp := ComObjActive("Outlook.Application") olItem := olApp.ActiveWindow.CurrentItem olItem.HTMLBody := "Stuff Before Pasted Data" o...

I just cant seem to get the active printer to work (line 5). Is there a specific naming convention I should use? printpath := A_Desktop "\Check List.docx" oWord := ComObjCreate("Word.Application") oFile := oWord.Documents.Open(printpath) oWord.DisplayAlerts := 0 ; turns off alerts, so that "your ma...

Re: [Word COM] Printing document--print more than 1 copy

@FanaticGuru Thanks, regarding the color my workplace actually has it setup like you suggest i.e. color or black/white appear as two separate devices. reading the microsoft documentation there doesn't appear to be a parameter to select which printer the doc goes to. Do you know any alternative VBA ...

Re: Excel - Format selected characters via COM

Do you know how one can make the key tips / accelerator keys more reliable? I found them quite unreliable, especially in Excel. Here's an example of what I've used to merge cells and to format cell borders. These used to work OK most of the time, but sometimes it seems that the Alt didn't register,...

Re: Excel - Format selected characters via COM

Thank you so much for chiming in on this guys! Since I'm new to COM, I thought it might be a great wat to do away with all the "key tips" (that's what Office seems to call the !hfn…. shortcuts; some here call'em accelerator keys). Thanks for providing deeper insight into the matter. I've used the k...

Re: Excel - Format selected characters via COM

Hi folks, I'm beginning to automate Excel via COM and I'm very impressed! I'm currently trying to format only the selected characters inside a cell of the active sheet to superscript. The following works, but I'd like the "Start" and "Length" to be dynamic so that they represent the currently selec...

Re: AHK allow only to run on specific hdd serial Topic is solved

Kind of funny that someone that barely understands AHK thinks their script is so great that it would be pirated. And that this "copy protection" can be foiled by any text editor like Notepad. I guess it would protect your script from someone that does not know how to use Google. Like two blind peopl...

Any idea on how to address the issue in my last post? The Return is the end of the hotkey. You have to put everything you want the hotkey to do between the hotkey define and the return. ^l:: ; <-- Start of Hotkey WinGetActiveTitle, Title Switch Title { Case "Box | Login - Internet Explorer": USERNA...

Re: Run VBA Macros from a Workbook when another Workbook is in focus

Xl.Run("Macros1") only works when the specific Workbook it's in is in focus. I have tried variations of specifying the file in the Macros path, ie Xl.Run("Automation.xlsm!Macros1"), and can only get either working by putting a WinActivate function before it. However I would prefer to allow my users...
