Re: If not keypressed "E" for 20 seconds? Topic is solved

Thx @Rohwedder I'm assuming your reading my other replies, too, and understand that I am to approach my problem from all possible sites. All tips are surely very useful. It is only that I don't understand enough to appreciate it.

Re: Which script contains the shortcut? Topic is solved

@boiler . Thank you, too. Be sure all of your tips are carefully read. I am writing as a noobie who somehow stumbled in a round of experts and understands very little.

Re: If not keypressed "E" for 20 seconds? Topic is solved

Thx swagfag . Would that work, even if the hotkey was spammed (pressed five times per second)? As I am about to figure out a way to control [L3] (left stick down on a game controller). [L3] ignites a rocket boost in certain GTA races, but spamming a stick on a game-controller is almost impossible me...

Re: If not keypressed "E" for 20 seconds? Topic is solved

How would that look if I wanted to wait 20 seconds after any key (shortcut defined in this very script) was pressed?

Which script contains the shortcut? Topic is solved

For reasons not explained I'd like to know at runtime which script contains a certain shortcut. For example I got several scripts with shortcuts, but only one script contains ^c::

Re: How does a script end?

@swagfag: Thx. A script contains dozens of shortcuts. Some are never called, some are called 100 times. I have to release {shift}. {alt}, {ctrl} sometime after the last call to a shortcut.

How does a script end?

It seems I don't understand how AHK works in principle, as I started programming using Turbo pascal in the 1980s. Code then used to have a start and an end. Fooling around with AHK for months I was satisfied with defining shortcuts and simple actions. But as my demands grew I found myself confronted...

Thx @Rohwedder. "Blind mode" was entireley new to me. I'll need some time for digestion (zum Verdauen).

If not keypressed "E" for 20 seconds? Topic is solved

How would I start an action if a certain key is not pressed for a certain time?
It could be "E" on the keyboard or preferably [L3] on a Astro C40 controller.
Thank you.

Re: Action by script 20 seconds after last {Shift Down}? Topic is solved

Thx Rohwedder . I'm trying to explain a bit further though this is complicated even in my mother tongue German. I have to spam [L3] for best lap times in GTA races. As this is impossible - a mere mechanical issue - I've mapped [L3] to [square] on a Astro C40 controller successfully by means of JoyTo...

Action by script 20 seconds after last {Shift Down}? Topic is solved

Kind of a weird problem for a beginner: In GTA online it is very useful for races to hold a key programmatically like {Shift}, that is using {Shift Down} or {Ctrl Down}, whatsoever. Unfortunately GTA releases the key in question in an unpredictable way every now and then. I can circumvent that probl...

Re: How to make a script execute code? Topic is solved

@vsub. Thank you, too. I'll explain later (may be some weeks later) in the games subforum more precisely what I want to do and will see whether there is a more efficient, less complicated way.

How to make a script execute code? Topic is solved

Might be a silly question, but the way I got to know AHK was searching for keyboard shortcuts. That is define what a script should do when a certain keystroke was detected. But now I want a script to act as soon it is called, like closing other scripts (executables), where by the community was helpi...

Re: close all other scripts whose names start with "race" Topic is solved

@boiler. Could I enclude your code in a Race- script in a way, that it is always executed by calling the script and therefore close all other Race-Executables? Forgive me for not trying out before asking. It is so thrilling, I can hardly wait to test it. I'll do my best to understand your code. Even...

Re: close all other scripts whose names start with "race" Topic is solved

@bobo.

Re: close all other scripts whose names start with "race" Topic is solved

@vsub. No, not at the same time. I'm working on route profiles for most of the special vehicle races at GTA online and have to choose the suitable profile within seconds. Some profiles are for testing purposes open in the editor, some are ready compiled for use. as it is hard to know, which code is ...

Re: close all other scripts whose names start with "race" Topic is solved

Thank you boiler . The fact is, my example was misleading. I've got a mostly working routine to loop through all active compiled scripts. Thank you vsub . I'd like to close or kill all scripts whose name starts with "Race", Race scripts are named: Race-Damned.exe Race-Beach Party.exe Race-Into the d...

close all other scripts whose names start with "race" Topic is solved

A compiled script script named "race-xyz.exe" is running. I want it to close or kill all other scripts whose names start with "race", of course not the running script. For example: Race A.exe, Race B.exe, Race C.exe, Race D.exe. I want to kill or close all Races xyz without the calling script Race X,...
