Re: Other tools for automation?

@malcev
hmmm ... more properly THAT sentence would have to be "some smart person would have to translate the code from autoit" ;-)

@SOTE
I have been able to produce good results with IE but had no idea that "Edge down to a science" ... May we trouble you for insights on that method ???

Re: Other tools for automation?

You can automate any browser that supports the W3C WebDriver without Selenium (Selenium for VBA does not work with latest Firefox). Here is example on autoit: https://www.autoitscript.com/forum/topic/191990-webdriver-udf-w3c-compliant-version-11212018/ Hey malcev ... When you say "you can automate"...

Re: GDIP Second DC - foreground frame - Set Transparent

@Hellbent ... Downloaded and ran your latest version ... I finally understood that you visually melded the frames using, in this, yellow ... However, the sub frame over the main frame remains "opaque" ... Thank you again for trying but short of the canvas itself going transparent seems like end of t...

Re: GDIP Second DC - foreground frame - Set Transparent

@Hellbent … Ah yes, ctrl+ and it springs to life then the shift … Thanks for the tip … Actually, I just want to put rectangles over the underlying gui, so, specific shapes as opposed to drawing … I guess you are using the native GDI calls that GDIP simply encapsulates which is cool … At this point I...

Re: GDIP Second DC - foreground frame - Set Transparent

@Hellbent … Apologies … This is not the first time that something I am looking for is right under my nose and I can not take advantage of it … It's been days of reading and expirementing to isolate what I posted … Sadly your post is too complicated for me … I did in fact download it and run it but j...

GDIP Second DC - foreground frame - Set Transparent

IsNull explained a method using GDIP to attached a second DC (foreground frame) to a base (background) GUI. It is perfect in every respect excepting that I do not know how to make the second DC (foreground frame) transparent. Basically I was hoping for a virtual glass canvas over the underlying GUI ...

Re: Internet Explorer: JavaScript examples

@jeeswg

Ah, ok, browser window coordinates.

Hmmm ... Are you aware of an efficient way to find the top left corner of the WBGet that is returned so that the screen and window coordinates can be synchronized?

Again, thank you so much for the most excellent help.

Re: Internet Explorer: JavaScript examples

@jeeswg

Copy that and appreciate the options.

Hmmm ... Question ... in

Code: Select all

oElt := oWB.document.elementFromPoint(vCurX, vCurY)
Are vCurX and vCurY windows screen coordinates or IE browser window coordinates?

Re: Internet Explorer: JavaScript examples

@jeeswg

Everything that you suggested works. Thank you so much.

I should have also stated that the objective is to click the returned object, however

Code: Select all

oElt.click()
does nothing.

Any thoughts on what I am doing wrong?

Re: Internet Explorer: JavaScript examples

@jeeswg This collection seems really valuable. Thank you for posting. May I trouble you for guidance on elementFromPoint? oWB := WBGet() MsgBox, % oWB.document.url ; this works MsgBox, % oWB.document.elementFromPoint( 953 , 453 ) ; no result Am I using it correctly? Also, where does "oElts" come fro...

HotKeyIt - Thank you again for the timely response and your patience. The only thing I understand from your answer is that it is possible to secure AHK_H compiled code. That is good.

Re: How to build Autohotkey_H source code? Topic is solved

HotKeyIt - Appreciate timely response but do not understand. Wish you were not so smart and could understand how little of this makes sense to a layperson. To prove how little sense it makes to someone who is not as knowledgeable as you are I will start with: 2. Yes it matters. Ok, From that sentenc...

Password can be easy extracted (by teadrinker):
malcev - can you please expand on this:
1-was test.exe compiled using AHK_H?
2-does it matter whether the password is default or not? (assume does not matter)
3-does this mean AHK_H does not offer any protection?

Re: How to build Autohotkey_H source code? Topic is solved

SOTE, Well, that pretty much bends my mind for the day. Wish _L could still be password protected. Pretty confident I won't be able to MCode or fork or DDL in this lifetime. Really appreciate you taking the time to explain. HotKeyIt, Ok, looks like you da man with da _H. Definitely want to get it up...

Re: How to build Autohotkey_H source code? Topic is solved

SOTE, Wow ... Thank you ... I learned so much from your post. However, now I can only "think about" the fact that AHK used to have a password that protected the user created script source code. Do you personally know whether it would be feasible to get that back? Do you know why it was taken out? Di...

Re: How to build Autohotkey_H source code? Topic is solved

Point 1: I think the AutoHotkey_L obfuscation issue has to be treated separately from AutoHotkey_H, particularly on this part of the forum where we are discussing AutoHotkey_H specifically. Point 2: As AutoHotkey_H can already use encryption, it arguably doesn't need obfuscation or one could consid...

Is there any published list of steps for compiling AutoHotkey_H? If there is a better list of steps, maybe a link can be shown or a document with those steps could be created. SOTE - Agreed. Then if someone possesses the knowledge to list the steps, might they be grouped by what they are for; for i...

Re: How to build Autohotkey_H source code? Topic is solved

Desiring to change the password appears to be the objective that leads to all of these steps for AHK_H.

Can some level of obfuscation for AHK_L be achieved by changing the password and then compiling one's own AHK_L?
