Re: If syntax

msgBox % "The next one will not end" max := 10 loop { if a_Index>max ; parentheses are required break ; but it's ok with AHK v2 print( a_Index ) } not a bug. traditional if vs expression if. see these pages https://www.autohotkey.com/docs/commands/IfEqual.htm https://www.autohotkey.com/docs/command...

OnExit passes ExitReason, ExitCode and whatever other parameters u might have bound
ur onexit handler accepts 0 parameters, change it to ExitFunc(*) if want to ignore any parameters that have been passed to it
ok thanks

Re: OnExit() bug Topic is solved

The documentation is not up to date, the error is intended. Changed function calls to throw if too many parameters are passed. Added fn(a,*) as a means to permit but not store surplus parameters. Cheers. i dont get it. if anything, too FEW are passed. what am i missing? what should my code look like?

String escapes: img_strings_and_escapes.png i really like your string escapes coloring, i may try to port that to Vim. however the escapes `" and `/ and \\ are invalid in AHK https://www.autohotkey.com/docs/commands/_EscapeChar.htm you should run this to test: MsgBox, % "Heavy`"Metal"" is 'the' L\"...

Functions_are_green() { return Func("This line is eco-friendly.") } Whoops, did I screw that up? Yes, Bold is for user defined... I think they just didn't add format() in a builtin... Some functions are blue and bold, like that user-defined func quoted from lex above, and the redirect link fails na...

https://www.autohotkey.com/docs/Scripts.htm#auto
After the script has been loaded, it begins executing at the top line, continuing until a Return, Exit, hotkey/hotstring label, or the physical end of the script is encountered (whichever comes first).

Re: REQ: regex "\s" to match

thank you guys. that explains it. i probably won't use \h but rather just [  ] (that is just a char class of the two different spaces chr32 and chr160)

REQ: regex "\s" to match

i just beat my head against a wall trying to figure out why my regex wasn't working, only to find out that my string had a non-breaking space character (chr160) instead of a normal space char (chr32). why doen'nt \s pick that up?

Re: About AHK Security

the protection in AHK_H is different. you can create a customized password to prevent Ahk2exe decompilation. You can also create a whole custom function even to hide the password. Also you could use the dll and download the script from a website instead of including it into the executable. for examp...

Re: About AHK Security

if you ask in the AHK_H subforum, then HotKeyIt can help you better to make the script more secure and harder to decompile but no solution is 100%. usually you are better off focusing your marketing and advertising on the customers who value your product and want to pay for it. (i sell a compiled ah...

here is a change to the function that someone made which returns 4 separate offset values, instead of just 2: ; * 20171126: (RiseUp) Changed function to return 4 offset values instead of 2. ; Windows 10 has different offsets for the top versus the bottom of a window, ; so this function no longer ass...

Re: A_Index0 Topic is solved

prob vote against. why isn't this the standard workaround

Code: Select all

;1-based:
for vKey, vValue in [1, 2, 3, 4]
{
	i := A_Index-1
	NumPut(&RECT+i*4, vValue, "Int")

An A_Index0 variable (or another name)
well A_ZeroIndex would be better. but i have no opinion on whether this is needed or necessary

why is this happening?
its a function call with no params, using the new "command-like" syntax.

same as if you typed MsgBox on a line by itself

highly recommend you use the Gdip imagesearch

for multithreading you'd want to look into AHK_H
