Re: « What's on your mind? » Topic is solved
The edit on the wiki made me mad!! @!$%# Created an account and found out who edited it! Walter Görlitz I edited it to ahkscript.org. Within twenty minutes, the edit was reverted by that Görlitz with an explanation that "that's a fork". If you look at the Talk page I then put a short explanation ab...

Re: Basics as to why AHKSCRIPT exists
So do I. I admit that people using AutoHotkey for automating games is a bit... repulsive to me, and is not necessarily something that many of us participate in or agree with, nor was it AutoHotkey's original purpose. The fact remains, however, that a large portion (which I was wholly unaware of unti...

Re: How to start my AHk definitions automatically
I just use the Startup directory in the Start Menu and it works fine. UAC privileges should not be necessary. Something might be disabled to prevent this happening. To verify, press Windows+R and type "msconfig.exe". In the window that opens, go to the Startup tab and check to see if all the boxes a...

Re: New Home page up
The download link on the homepage should point to http://ahkscript.org/download/ and not to http://ahkscript.org/download/ahk-install.exe.

Re: « What's on your mind? » Topic is solved
It appears my edit was undone by somebody. In the Talk page there is a section about this and how this domain is a "fork" of the autohotkey.com which is supposedly the "official" website. The thing is, it can't be explained quite like that because how do you define the definiton of "official"? The d...

Re: « What's on your mind? » Topic is solved
All I know is what I read on Wikipedia, which is not much. What's the story behind it all, or is this some taboo subject?
(By the way, I edited AHK's Wikipedia page and added ahkscript.org as a secondary "Official website" and labelled the other one as "(original)".)

Re: « What's on your mind? » Topic is solved
I just realised now that I've never been in the gaming forum before, both on this domain and the other one. It was always just there and I never thought about it until I saw the mention of AutoIT in the docs (credits) and wondered what the heck that was, so I ddg'ed it. AutoIt's fora are super stric...

Re: Ahkscript Vs. Autohotkey
I use duckduckgo, and for me it's number two. Well, technically it's number five, but the second result is l.autohotkey.net, which now redirects directly to ahkscript.org. (Unfortunately, ddg still lists autohotkey.com as the "official site".)

Re: Is AutoHotKey what I need?
To add to that, to use the script that FG wrote, you need some way to launch it. Once you have AHK installed, you could simply use the script like above and simply double-click on the file to run it (it will close automatically when it reaches the end). Alternatively, you could use create a hotkey, ...

1A: Ditch the tags. Having a tonne of fields and what-not to fill out is going beyond the definition of "bare-bones" and is where it gets more difficult to maintain. Instead, require meaningful and succinct descriptions, in which case those tags would be included in the description somewhere anyway....

Re: Pin window from taskbar to another window.
@OP: Although unrelated to AutoHotkey, you can do this manually using 7TaskbarTweaker (select the "Drag within/between groups using right mouse button" checkbox). how about Firefox ? :geek: However good Firefox may be (and I've given it a good chance, believe me), I still find myself using Internet ...

Re: Is AutoHotKey what I need?
Yes, this is possible using AutoHotkey! Is the dialogue you need to open the standard Windows Playback devices one, and you just need to switch playback devices? If so, there is a reliable way to do this programmatically without opening the window. If this is what you need, I'll explain it below. Ot...

Re: pAHKlight - Your Lightweight Guide to AHK libs+classes+t
I would really like to see this idea come to fruition. But like was said, keep it bare-bones, containing only basic descriptions and links to where libraries/classes can be downloaded (even if it's just a link to the forum page). If it auto-updated every time it was opened that would be good too. Ed...

Re: Error with Numpad7
(Don't like our code boxes?) Hmm... I wonder why it doesn't work. It seems that combination hotkeys (using & ) don't work that way. Instead, you have to use Send , like this: NumpadMult::SetNumLockState AlwaysOn NumpadEnter & Numpad9::Send {Numpad7} NumpadEnter & Numpad6::Send {Numpad4} NumpadEnter ...

Any specific reason?nnnik wrote:Don't switch to Win 8.
I've got it installed on my machine, but I still haven't left Win7. Mostly because I'm happy with it, it looks nicer (and has actual window shadows), and it's just too much work to switch.
