How to compile?

Hi, I recently upgraded to a new version and now my compile command doesn't work anymore - file is created with no error but doesn't run. The command below worked with the older version. Now I copied the recent AutoHotkey.exe to AutoHotkey folder and the whole Compiler folder to Compiler folder. Ahk...

vcruntime140.dll vs msvcr100.dll

In recent releases I see vcruntime140.dll replaced msvcr100.dll in the package.

What should now be included with the compiled application? None, both or vcruntime140.dll only?

Re: [Class] Toolbar - Create and modify (Updated 03/17/2016)

Hi, is there a way to make the toolbar background transparent or change it's background color? Part of my window is colored with a another color and would like to show the toolbar over it.

Or is there a better alternative to create image buttons?

Re: RegEx help needed

Many thanks, I learned something new! :-)

But I'm still confused why the documentation is stating:
Wildcard: The dot-star pattern .* is one of the most permissive because it matches zero or more occurrences of any character (except newline: `r and `n).

RegEx help needed

Trying to search for a code 02 in string and extract the name. The result should be "John". Why is this not working?

Code: Select all

text:="

01 George
02 John
03 Ringo
04 Paul
)"

pos:=RegExMatch(text, "02 (.*)`n", m)
msgbox % m1

Re: Slower reload after upgrade

No difference, please run the script and try to exit or reload it.

Code: Select all

#Persistent
string:="
(
#NoTrayIcon
#IfWinExist Untitled - Notepad ;<--- this causes the issue
::kr::kind regards
)"
dll:=ahkthread(string)
Return

Re: Slower reload after upgrade

Thanks for your response HotKeyIt. I believe I have found a reason - the following simple script crashes on exit or reload. The reason is in #IfWinExist command. As mentioned this started with 1.1.25.00 H001. string:=" ( #NoTrayIcon #IfWinExist Untitled - Notepad ;<--- this causes the issue ::kr::ki...

Re: Slower reload after upgrade

Thanks for the tip! The script is large and consists of several threads, using multiple ahkthread, ahkterminate etc. I tried all the releases and I have found the following (both AutoHotkey_H Unicode 32-bit): 1.1.24.05 H008 - WORKS 1.1.25.00 H001 - HAVE ISSUES The following issues started from 1.1.2...

Slower reload after upgrade

Hi, after upgrading from 1.22 to 1.28, reloading one of my larger scripts is now much slower. First run is instant, however reloading (or running again) the same script causes a two seconds delay (windows waiting cursor, slow cursor movement). After the script is reloaded it shows two Tray icons, wh...

Re: FrameShadow(): Drop Shadow On Borderless Window, (DWM STYLE)

It's visible in Win10. Try adding gui, -caption under Winminimize routine in my example. You see that new windows will have the same basic shadow. Normal (non borderless) windows will have both shadows which is visible in Win10. In Win7 you can see the shadow is a little darker.

Re: FrameShadow(): Drop Shadow On Borderless Window, (DWM STYLE)

Thanks for a great function. However if basic shadow is used (_ISENABLED=0) then all next opened windows are affected and have a wrong shadow. See the example below (press minimize button). Is it possible to cancel shadow to default for other windows? Gui, +HwndHGui -Caption FrameShadow(HGui) Gui, A...

DetectHiddenWindows, On
WinGetPos,,,, H, MyWIndow
if (H>=A_ScreenHeight-40)

Re: Scroll feature

Thanks although I don't understand the code :-)
Is there a simpler way? I tried to check the window height against ScreenHeight but it didn't work - Gui, Autosize cancels the Scroll.

Re: Scroll feature

Thanks. Would it be possible to increase the margin only if scroll bar exists? Both examples increase a margin even if the loop is smaller, like Loop 10.

Scroll feature

I like a Scroll feature in Ahk_H. However, scroll bar partially covers the controls like in the case below. Is there a way to detect when scroll bar is visible to increase the window width in such cases?

Code: Select all

loop 50
	gui, add, edit, w200
gui, +vscroll
gui, show

Re: RexEg help needed

Sorry, I was not clear enough. The text string is long and there may be other lines with double quotes. The script should only replace double quotes within if expressions, not all.
Any idea?

RexEg help needed

Hi, I have a text file with some if statements containing various different expressions. All strings within the expressions are enclosed with two quotes instead of one. What is a proper way of using RegExReplace to replace all double quotes with one only? All if statements are following the same for...
