Re: AHK Studio

Hi Maestrith, Sorry for the looong delay in replying on this. I understand being diverted, and that AHK Studio is a 'side-project' (though a damn impressive one). I'm working on learning the debugger. Perhaps you'd be kind enough to offer your thoughts on my take on how to do this with AHKS: 1. Debu...

Re: AHK Studio

Hi Maestrith, Sorry, another Q: When I try to download the bookmarks plugin I get an error msg: Error: Failed attempt to launch program or document: Action: <C:\Program Files\AHK-Studio-master\p|ugins\BookMarks.ahk> Params: <"mb"> Specifically: The system cannot find the file specified. Re: AHK Studio

Hi Maestrith, I'm back to using AHKS on a small project. I've noticed that when I have several find results in the separate find window, that sometimes using the Jump button takes you to the end of the file, not withstanding that the search string is not at that location. I can't seem to find a rhym...

Re: Profiling tool(s) for autohotkey?

Thanks swafag and vasili111,

Your thoughts much appreciated. I guess that I had hoped that there was something a little more structured to help save me from myself  .

I'd be very happy if others had thoughts to help push me along.

Cheers.

Profiling tool(s) for autohotkey?

Forgive me if this is an utter amateur-nonsense question (and do move if I've not posted in the right forum), but....are there tools that can be used to 'profile' an autohotkey script? By 'profiling' I mean work out how much time is spent in various parts of the code, and maybe also give a flow diag...

Re: Will the developement of AHK v2 be continued ...

Thanks derz00 and jeeswg for your helpful comments and pointers to other info. Of course being a bad programmer I do reach out to the community and they are always extremely helpful (thank you), but I guess that this might reduce if I was asking v2 Qs just 'cos the number of people using it are fewe...

Re: Will the developement of AHK v2 be continued ...

Hi, I'm about to get a little more time to spend doing enjoyable things...like tinkering with AHK scripts :D. But as only an occasional dabbler I've only just tripped across the whole v2 concept and thread. V2 seems a very laudable effort to me, and I think would help me, as a very poor programmer, ...

Re: AHK Studio

Hi Maestrith, Sorry, but I hope you don't mind some further questions on Bookmarks and Breakpoints. Firstly I love the way that these are displayed in the Code explorer window! But I wonder if you / others would find the following suggestions useful: 1) To display next to each Breakpoint or Bookmark...

Re: AHK Studio

Wow Maestrith, many thanks for this: 1.005.10 ... Fixed: Reported by DaveT1 - Breakpoints for Debugging were not working ... I can now run to a breakpoint just fine :D. But in case it's important I've noticed that when the debugger is launched the Debug Window shows the line numbers of the breakpoin...

Re: AHK Studio

Hi Maestrith, Just came back to looking at AHK Studio (and have the latest versions of AHK-S and AHK). I must be stupid, but I can't find how to run the debugger to a breakpoint? I can start the debugger, gain the debug controls by launching the Variable Browser and then I can step through the code ...

Re: AHK Studio

Hi Maestrith, I've managed only a little time to test AHK Studio. I'm continuing to explore, but I do have a quick (and possibly trivial) question: I like the Whitesmiths style of braces, eg: iF (ErrorLevel = 0) { Click, %FoundPosX%, %FoundPosY% Send, {End} } else { MsgBox, Can't find the Rename ite...

Re: AHK Studio

Hi Maestrith, Just seen a great youtube video and it's persuaded me to give ahk studio another go - it's got so much :o ! So I went to http://www.maestrith.com, right clicked on the link and saved it as, well, as an .ahk file. Double clicking it then gives the following error: AHK-Studio.ahk (1318) ...

Re: AHK script to emulate "ctrl+L/RArrow" when this is not native in the app

Hi Rohwedder, So, for example, this: #IfWinActive, ahk_class HwndWrapper[frontapp.exe;;9f252e37-26b2-49f5-a940-8d15a47969a7] { ^g::Send, {shift down}{Left 15}{shift up} } #IfWinActive will move the text caret 15 to the left and leave those 15 characters highlighted. This is what I would expect the n...

Re: AHK script to emulate "ctrl+L/RArrow" when this is not native in the app

Hi Rohwedder, Thanks for looking and taking time to reply. Are you wondering if there is a search or find facility within this app's email composer and the @mention comment box? Sadly there is no such facility. I guess that I could use autohotkey to move, eg., 5 characters to left with Send, ^{Left ...

AHK script to emulate "ctrl+L/RArrow" when this is not native in the app

Hi, At work we are considering a new email client with integrated '@mention' functionality. This system runs through a web browser. In neither the email compose window nor the @mention comment 'box' does "ctrl+L/RArrow" move the text caret by a whole word (either left or right respectively). The dev...

Re: Temporarily disable a hotkey when certain other progs are running

Hi evilC, thanks for taking the time to look.....I hope that I've not mis-understood your points, but: Code: [Select all]GeSHi © Codebox Plus ~LButton:: { IfWinActive, ahk_exe KeePass.exe [...] } This does not disable the LButton hotkey while KeePass is active, it merely stops the hotkey from doing ...

Temporarily disable a hotkey when certain other progs are running

Hi, I've been using autohotkey for a number of years, but I'm still a beginner and rely heavily on the work of others and their willingness to share - so thanks to all who contribute for that! But recently I've hit a roadblock which no amount of searching and trial and error has satisfactorily resol...
