Re: Function: IniRead()

What about this code? Run it, and then call the variables by doing: section.key note: For some reason, when I make an associative array in the function using %sectionList%[key] := value I'm able to find the variable outside the function. So ............ That's a good idea, to reference the section ...

Function lib: FormatDword.ahk - HIWORD(), LOWORD(), MAKELONG()

These functions do exactly the same as the macros found on the MSDN links below. They can be used with OnMessage() to format something like coordinates from LParam. Ore format any other 32Bit integer structured as low high bit order. HIWORD : LOWORD : MAKELONG : EXAMPLE: Return Highword as hexadecim...

Re: Function: IniRead()

If you look a bit closer at my example you see that the keys X , Y , W , and H will be read twice with partially different values. AFAICS, only the second value will be available after the function call. Yes i see that local variables are currently not supported. Although, the only situation I can ...

You are checking for a section by looking for a [. But the [ could be the value of a var. it would be better if you check if [ is the first character of that line. And maybe also check if there is a closing ].
Fixed!
Thanx for the good comment!
You have any more "what if's" available?

Re: Function: IniRead()

INI-files are usually divided into sections for a reason. What will your function do with [Edit1] X=10 Y=10 W=100 H=20 [ListView1] X=10 Y=40 W=300 H=100 ? And what happens with comment lines? Yeah it's true, the function can only be successful when the file is read from path. I could filter that th...

Re: Function: IniRead()

because of the variable reference - %TempVar% - that is used in the loop. And because of this: Functions Local •A dynamic variable reference may resolve to an existing global variable if no local variable exists by that name. Function: IniRead()

This function can replace the IniRead command native to Autohotkey. It will read all the variables stored in a ini and makes them known to the calling script by creating them under fly. Useful because it can save many lines in a script. Might be useful to others... ReadIni(InputFile) { ; InputFile s...

This is actually pretty cool thanks! do i have to rerun this if i restart my pc?
Nope, it writes the settings to the windows configuration DB a.k.a. the registry.
Like I said, run the script to add the settings and run it again to remove them.

Have fun!

Copy Extra's: For Win Explorer Context Menu

If often find myself in need to copying some file or folder name/location. Unfortunate windows offers no functionality from the shell for copying names and locations. Actually the way you need to do that is rather clumsy. So here is a simple script I wrote that will add a cascading menu option "Copy...

Alguimist, Thanks for developing this great IDE for ahk!! Up until a week ago I was still using SciTe. I also have a question about syntax and keyword colouring when I start a new line with code. Re: ToggleNic v2.0.3 --> Toggles Network device by application | and DuMeter

Update to V2.0.3
- Replaced the loop that monitored when a allowed application was launched or closed,
for a shell message monitor. The monitor checks if each new launched application is in
the allowed list or not. Thus reducing CPU usage nearly to zero

The Game Script Beta 1

Hey everyone, Here a little something I made. The code is still in beta and the autopot feature is not working.. yet. However most of the code is working and almost bugg free. 99% of the code is my own, and where I borrowed code I mentioned it. Most lines of code come with some form of comment/exple...
