Re: Script to pin a tab in Firefox

@tmplinshi: 1st of all I want to apologise for this late reply. Somehow I had seen the message in my Inbox, and thought you got p*ssed off with my stupid questions, particularly when I replied, perhaps a bit flippantly, to your "that explains all" comment. Anyhow, I have installed the "more themes s...

Re: Script to pin a tab in Firefox

That explains everything. This script only works on a solid background theme. The last code tested on firefox v62.0.2 ( theme: Default/Light/Dark ). I am afraid it does not. I disabled the Nightly theme, so I am back to Default. Closed FF and relaunched. If there is only 1 tab open that I want to p...

Re: Script to pin a tab in Firefox

pinunpin.jpg @tmplinshi: many thanks for your help. It does not quite work. let's say I have 5 tabs open, pressing F1 will pin tab 1. Staying on tab 1, then pressing F1 will not unpin tab 1 but pin tab 2, then tab3, then tab 4. After that pressing F1 will unpin tab 4, pressing F1 again will pin tab...

Re: Script to pin a tab in Firefox

@tmplinshi: * do I understand you correctly that your script pins all tabs? I would like to be able to pin tabs individually because I don't want to pin all my open tabs * unpinning only applies to the last tab? And what happens if there is only 1 tab pinned? * where is the updated code? in your ori...

Re: Script to pin a tab in Firefox

@tmplinshi: thanks for your reply. Excuse my ignorance, I have a couple of questions: 1. acc.ahk is another script. Should I add it to my scripts folder where your suggested script will also reside? 2. does acc.ahk need to be activate separately from your script? 3. I noticeyour script refers to pin...

Re: Script to pin a tab in Firefox

Mozilla Firefox doesn't have any hotkeys for pinning tabs. I would suggest that you install an add-on for Firefox that adds hotkeys: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/pinunpin-tab/ I am fully aware Firefox does not have a hotkey to pin tabs, I am also fully aware of the pinunpin add-on...

I changed it again and made the 'modified' option at exit in a correct way.

I'm also thinking about making a "rich edit" (.rtf) version of "Quick Notes" using Class_RichEdit by "just me".
Thank you.

Re: Old scripts: Alarm Timer. Stopper. Quick Notes. Snipping Tool.

@DutchPete That's because names are too long, probably. Originally it was intended to be small, so the names were supposed to be short. An easy fix is to change is w403 to something bigger. Like w600 or w800 In this line( around line 195): Gui,1: Add, Tab2, x0 y25 w403 +Theme -Background vTabName g...

Re: Old scripts: Alarm Timer. Stopper. Quick Notes. Snipping Tool.

@drozdman: sorry to bother you again, but now I have another issue. I downloaded your code again, and did not make any changes. I did delete the old notes-files folder, so the new version would set up everything from scratch. Launching it, it opened with 8 note tabs. Good. I changed the names and fo...

Re: Old scripts: Alarm Timer. Stopper. Quick Notes. Snipping Tool.

@drozdman: yes, that works fine. It displays the prompt Do you want to save before exiting Quick Notes? , whether one has changed something or not, and that is fine. I want to thank you 1) for sharing a useful script - I can remove a Firefox add-on :), and 2) for your help these past 2 days. I am im...

Re: Old scripts: Alarm Timer. Stopper. Quick Notes. Snipping Tool.

@drozdman: yes, your revised script works on my Win 8.1/64-bit computer. :) With that bit of my extra code (y_var) I was hoping to move it up a few pixels. Never mind, we can leave that aside. You say that after changing something, then closing (by clicking on the red cross in the top right corner),...

Re: Old scripts: Alarm Timer. Stopper. Quick Notes. Snipping Tool.

@drozdman: many thanks for your quick reply. Couple of things: 1. You added the width adjustment, but not the moving of the window. From my previous message I added as follows: • disabled option save before exiting - Save_All_and_Exit ; can be changed */ Width_B:=1200 , Height_B:=700 x_var := (A_Scr...

Re: Old scripts: Alarm Timer. Stopper. Quick Notes. Snipping Tool.

Hi drozdman, I discovered this recently and have used the Quick Notes code. I wanted to have the QN windows bigger when it opens, but did not know how/what to insert where. So I had the idea of writing a script that opens the QN script and increases the width and height. Someone else helped me with ...

Re: Center an AHK window

if you want to tweak your y position you can just take the result of the y_var and add or subtract from it ;before y_var was set like this y_var := (A_ScreenHeight//2) - (Height//2) ;or y_var := (A_ScreenHeight-Height)//2 ;You can adjust it in a few ways ;( 1 ) ; adding or subtracting y_var := (A_S...

WinGetPos, , , w, h, ahk_pid %PID% x := (A_ScreenWidth - w) // 2 y := (A_ScreenHeight - h) // 2 WinMove, ahk_pid %PID%, , % x, % y So Swagfag, your code is slightly different from Hellbent's, but when I use it (total code script below), it does not work - the window remains unchanged. Hellbent's so...
