Re: False Positive Battle
[My program does not write to the registry. It does download updates to my program from Sourceforge. I do not use Mpress or UPX. My program is not digitally signed. Quote " AHK_H already has some built-in compression" Is this by default or only when choosing to reduce the size of the resulting exe?...

Re: False Positive Battle
I think the problem would be solved if VirusTotal would require the Antivirus companies that they use to respond to False Positive reports or their Antivirus program would not be used by VirusTotal. I have been submitting False Positive reports for more then 12 years. Rising and Cylance has never r...

Re: False Positive Battle
I think us AHKers will have to concentrate a bit more on VirusTotal itself. That is, sign up on VirusTotal directly ( https://www.virustotal.com/gui/join-us ), and then comment about AntiVirus companies that are doing AutoHotkey dirty or are unresponsive to users. Another route is that you can send ...

Re: YouTube Ads
YouTube has really stepped up their ad game and it is indeed out of control. It's near unbearable now. I don't know if this is common knowledge or not, but I'm now using nsfwyoutube.com to destroy all ads. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gVKEM4K8J8A nsfwyoutube.com/watch?v=gVKEM4K8J8A The uBlock ex...

You can download the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable 2015, 2017 and 2019 (make sure to only download from Microsoft to avoid fakes and malware). https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/the-latest-supported-visual-c-downloads-2647da03-1eea-4433-9aff-95f26a218cc0 When you install it, where the ...

Re: Multiple Ways to Automate Chrome with AHK. Selenium, Console, Chrome ext. Chrome.AHK
I think an additional option is missing, thus will fall under "Other". That is using the RunJsFromChromeAddressBar function. This has a lot of potential as a minimalist and all AHK coding method, that doesn't require 3rd party extensions. References to this option: https://www.autohotkey.com/boards/...

Re: Forums Slow to load
Whenever I have problems visiting sites it always seems to be related to cloudflare. I've noticed that too. It could also mean that cloudflare is working and that otherwise the server/website might have crashed already without it. Maybe. But also seeing 522 errors, "...indicates that Cloudflare is ...

Re: Forums Slow to load
Are you guys sure the previous slowness and loading problems have nothing to do with Cloudflare? Because right now, I guess because of the "Under Attack Mode" getting the AutoHotkey website is really troublesome. Cloudflare is demanding cookies and JavaScript, while taking these long periods of time...

Re: AHK Studio
Is it possible to have indentation insert spaces instead of a tab character? The visual breaks on github and spaces will alway show consistently. At the very least, it should be both. A lot of people uses tabs , and that way is neater. Spaces tend to get messy, because how many spaces used varies b...

Re: Is lexikos still maintaining AHK?
But the expressed dependence of our community on the commitment of his person is worrying me. The burden that he has to carry can thus be clearly seen. Why hasn't he already shared his work on the project? There are enough brilliant minds here. What was and is the reason for the "one-man project"? ...

Re: About AHK and RPA tools - Is AHK one of them? Is it robust enough?
I have the impression that other RPA tools are far more robust, and "integrated" to windows/browsers and stuff, doing tasks at a lower level, and more stable way as well. (instead of click x,y position, get element for the control, and send a click, for instance). I will compare AHK with who appear...

Yes, very interesting and thank you Mimiko for showing this. Also, reversing this transpiler and going from AHK to Coffeescript, appears quite intriguing as well.

Re: Is lexikos still maintaining AHK?
If not, is anyone else willing and able to do it? Lexikos has been at it for a long time with AutoHotkey_L (and has done a fantastic job), so taking breaks sometimes is fine, and such can be refreshing for him. Not to mention, we don't know what is going on with his personal life. Especially during...

Re: Is there way to get rid of RCdata when compile the ahk file
An exe done with a password in ahk h gets less av alerts? My experience has been that this is a depends question. Different versions will see different results. Usually, the latest versions of AHK_L and AHK_H tend to get more false-positive AV hits. Then as people report these false-positives and A...

Re: Is there way to get rid of RCdata when compile the ahk file
Also, AutoHotkey_H has it's own compression versus MPRESS or UPX. It's the 1st option (when using the AHK_H compiler- Ahk2Exe): Use compression to reduce size of executable. Thus source will not show up in an easily readable form in RCData. This built-in compression is not as secure as using the enc...

For future reference, in case any other AHKers are curious or walk down this path... Re: File/Text encoding issue Topic is solved
okay. I tried the popclient.exe. I can't get any connection to my mail servers, therefore it was not possible for me to examine the encodings of the retreaved textfiles. A manual download of an email as .eml text gives me normal UTF-8. Sorry Happen to have come across this. For Popclient to work (c...
