Re: script won't run using variable hotkeys

Thanks very much Boiler,
it took me all sunday, but this seems to be the solution (30 seconds for you I guess).

Is the Persistent directive really necesssary?
Seems to work fine without though?
(I remember getting troubles in some other script once adding this directive)

script won't run using variable hotkeys

Hello to all I am trying to create a script that can handle some user defined hotkeys. I read in the forum, I read in the manual, I tried a lot of variations. I tried to apply all sort of instructions, no succes. In my experience a script won't start up just using "Hotkey" commands. The autoexecute ...

Re: Keys holding

Sorry, I don't understand exactly what you are saying.
Did you read the introduction to AutoHotKey?
In short: you can run a AHK script, it runs in the background.
Every time you hit your hotkey the script is activated, and your macro-thread will be executed.

Re: Shift + Whell

Hmmm, you're right I experimented with your script, turning the wheel seems to generate hundreds of hotkey-triggerings. I tried the $-sign trick, but no change. I was able to cut off this stream though, by adding a message box. After pressing OK the wheel seems to turn 8 notches as desired. So I thi...

Re: How to Make a GUI with Commands?

Create buttons for each option/task you need for your GUI.
Add a g-label to each button.
In the g-label subroutine set the things you want to be executed.
That's about it, I guess.
Everything is explained very well in the documentation.

Get Calc (LibreOffice spreadsheet) row number to a variable

Hello to all, I use AutoHotKey (through the Com/Uno method) to read from my Calc spreadsheet. This works flawless. Now I want to write to specific Calc cells, and automate the writing process. I wonder if AHK can help to perform this job. This is the situation (simplified): I have a Calc spreadsheet...

Re: Get Excel row number to a variable Topic is solved

Hello Kon and dharmang 1910,
I need to do about the same thing, only in LibreOffice-Calc, not in Excel.
I am very interested in the Find-function. I hope Calc has the same option (through VBA)
I think it's wiser to start a fresh thread, I'll give it about the same subject-title

Re: Alternate between two actions on a single input

Hi Bbaas, I am no expert. This came up: Create variable NextClick Now adapt your script: When clicking on point A also set NextClick to "B" When clicking on point B also set NextClick to "A" Then add an IF statement to your script: IF NextClick is A ......click on point A (and set NextClick to "B") ...

Re: script for LibreOffice Calc stopped functioning Topic is solved

Hmmm, tested script all day on several machines. Seems to work with LOCalcPortable, but not always. If there happens to be no instance of Calc opened the script seems automatically to connect to an installed/registered LOCalc version, and after that things get messed up. The tricky thing is this scr...

Re: script for LibreOffice Calc stopped functioning Topic is solved

Hmmm, I guess my question was too vague. After some hours of experimenting I think narrowed down the problem: The connecting to the currently opened Calc-sheet fails when LibreOffice is a Portable version. In case of a Calc-sheet opened in LibreOfficePortable the oDoc-object isn't set, successively ...

You mean running your script after hitting a key?
In that case: use double colons.

script for LibreOffice Calc stopped functioning Topic is solved

Hello to everybody. I am trying to have AutoHotKey receive and send data to a LibreOffice (Calc) spreadsheet. I read many posts, tried tutorials, etc. I picked up pieces of code (thank you very much Lexikos, Blackholyman, Kon and others), made edits, trialled and errored, and finally had a test-scri...

Re: deriving filepaths from variable or clipboard Topic is solved

Ah, now I see some light at the end of the tunnel Thanks Kon, for your explanations. Tomorrow I'll drop your Spoiler-code in my script. (Again) I am amazed by the superfast replies on this forum. For me that's a very important advantage of AutoHotKey. It's almost impossible to get really stuck, I th...

Re: deriving filepaths from variable or clipboard Topic is solved

Thanks for your quick answer Kon. Problem is I don't understand it. Sorry, still learning. Could you reveal a little more? How can my strings be apparently identical? The variable value in the second example is a paste from the same clipboard-content as used in the 1st example. Still confused. :craz...
