Re: Find Filename Using Wildcard and Variable

Thank you, I did have an invalid file path due to a math calculation in the wrong place. Was easy to locate once you mentioned the potential problem.

Find Filename Using Wildcard and Variable

I'm trying to use a combination of a wildcard and a variable to select a file (the first matching file found). As a simplified example: var := 1 Loop, E:\xxjb\A\%InFolder%\*%var%.txt { SelectedFile := A_LoopFileName break } msgbox, %SelectedFile% } In the "Loop" line, if I replace %var% with the act...

Re: MouseMove Not Working When Over Certain Window

You're welcome. You have me beat by a couple years. :D I got my first computer (an Atari 800) in 1980. Haha, I began working on my teacher's TRS-80 in 1978 and got a "Bally" computer (with Bally Basic!) in 1980 and graduated to an Atari 400 in 1982, followed quickly by an Atari 800. 8KB RAM and cas...

I would suggest carefully considering the implications of running the script as administrator, and also reading the UAC FAQ.
This is a script I wrote myself. I'm not worried about my script being hijacked.

Re: MouseMove Not Working When Over Certain Window

Wow, a thousand-and-one thanks, it worked! I can't tell you how much you've helped. I've been wrestling with this problem for about 18 hours now, posting on three different software forums. The answer was a simple (and perhaps obvious) one, but I would not have though of it. (I've been working heavi...

MouseMove Not Working When Over Certain Window

When my mouse pointer is over the Window I would to work with, commands such as MouseMove and MouseClick do not work. I have another program running simultaneously with my AHK script that is somehow interfering with these (and probably other) commands. My AHK hotkeys DO trigger the functions in my s...

Re: MouseClick Not Working (Yet Another Such Post!)

I found a solution: MouseMove Sleep, x Click The "Sleep" delay needs to be longer than the time it takes me to press AND release the button on my gamepad. Why does it matter how long it takes me to release the button? The macro activates as soon as I press the button, and the release of the button s...

MouseClick Not Working (Yet Another Such Post!)

I'm a long-time user of AHK. I've been using a script on Chrome, a portion of which uses MouseClick to click certain areas of the window which the cursor is hovering over. It all works fine in Chrome. I'm trying the exact same script on Firefox windows which are essentially identical as those in Chr...

Using "AlwaysOnTop" for Cascading Multiple Windows?

I wish to cascade ten windows in a column formation. I want the window at the top of the cascade to always be on top of the other nine, the second window to be on top of the remaining eight, and so on, with the 10th window always behind the other nine. Is this possible? I am constantly "imagesearch"...

Re: imagesearch returning wrong coordinates

Problem was solved somehow by using the *50 option. in front of the filename.

imagesearch returning wrong coordinates

This portion of my autohotkey script was working correctly last time I messed with it. That was a few months ago, prior to a Windows10 update. Now, every time I use imagesearch, the returned coordinates are incorrect. The X-coord seems to be correct, but the Y-coord is between 60 and 65 units higher...
