Question about using WinSet

Hello, in a rather lengthy script I run a URL that takes a takes a fair amount time to load. So that it is loaded and ready for use when I need it I run the URL early on in the script. I don’t want it to appear until I’m ready for it so each time the script activates another window it “WinSet, Alway...

Re: Need to modify a string

Hello, It now seems the solution from swagfag was not just what I needed. If I start with this string "This 456-mh-666-g-87 Part" I need to end up with this "This 456-MH-666-G-87 Part" and I am getting this "THIS 456-MH-666-G-87 PART". I just want letters that are attached to numbers with "-" to be ...

Re: Combining conditions with different SetTitleMatchMode values.

At first I tried this script in a standalone application and it seemed to work fine. When I incorporated it into my regular script it stopped working. I noticed that when I checked “cond1” on its own it kept showing that Pictures.ahk did exist even though it seemed that it did not. I went to AutoHot...

Combining conditions with different SetTitleMatchMode values.

I have 4 or 5 hotkeys that I want to be able to use only if both of these conditions are met. DetectHiddenWindows, On SetTitleMatchMode, 2 IfWinNotExist, Pictures.ahk -And- SetTitleMatchMode, 1 IFWinActive, Microsoft Excel - Interchange.xlsm I’m guessing I need to somehow combine these 2 conditions ...

Re: string split results

I've got so much to learn here. I've been trying to get by with 1.21 for years now because I did not want to mess with what seemed like a good thing. I went ahead and updated to 1.30 and the original script from swagfag now works fine and so far everything else seems to be okay. I guess time will te...

Thanks for taking the time to respond here. I'm getting a error here. "Error: Too many parameters passed to Function" I went back to the AHK String Split page and tried to change a few things but I'm not able to get this.

Need to modify a string

This works to make all letters in a string that are connected to digits uppercase. For example makes bb30 go to BB30 or 30bb go to 30BB. SubstrUpperCase := RegExReplace(SubstrUpperCase, "\b([a-zA-Z]*)(\d+)([a-zA-Z]*)\b", "$U1$2$U3") I now need to make bb-30 go to BB-30 or 30-bb go to 30-BB. I tried ...

Set variables in a GUI.

I have some script that I run that has 3 variables. StartValue, EndValue and LocationValue. I usually go in and edit the script to change the values of all 3 of these variables. I stumbled across “Input” values that looks like it would do the job better but now I have seen information on GUI’s. I’m ...

Re: ^F8:: hotkey not working with script

Thank you for taking the time to respond here. The information you provided may be helpful in the future but I’m not sure it’s going to work in this case. Please correct me if I’m wrong but “*” seems to be like a wildcard key. The problem here is +F8::, ^F8::, #F8:: and !F8:: are all being used to d...
