Re: Keep a variable in sync with a INI value even after reload

So simple!! I was somehow thinking everything needed a starting point (like a Hotkey) and an ending point (Return or Reload). Thanks for the help.

Keep a variable in sync with a INI value even after reload

Hello, I am not a AHK expert I do not know all the AHK terminology but I’ll explain is the best I can. I have about 60 hotkeys that perform only when “Options:=1. They are sandwiched between “#If Options=1” and “#If”. I also store the value for the variable “options” in an INI file that will reestab...

Re: Issues working with two Excel files

It seems when I run both books with one instance of Excel just because one particular book is on the top screen, even a simple command like "MouseMove, % A_CaretX, % A_CaretY " needs to know which book to deal with. Is this correct?

Re: Issues working with two Excel files

Hello, sorry I’ve been slow to respond to these solutions here but I got called out of town. After reading the 1st post from FG I tried running Book1 and Book2 in just one instance of Excel (I was running 2 before) and it seemed to solve the problem. This worked for an hour or so and then I started ...

Issues working with two Excel files

Hello, I am working with two XL files (Book1 and Book2) in some script and if book 1 was the active screen this was working fine. oExcel := ComObjActive("Excel.Application") Row := oExcel.ActiveCell.Row ItemTDV := oExcel.Cells(Row, 1).text PatternItemIDV := oExcel.Cells(Row, 2).text ExcelModelV := o...

Question about using WinSet

Hello, in a rather lengthy script I run a URL that takes a takes a fair amount time to load. So that it is loaded and ready for use when I need it I run the URL early on in the script. I don’t want it to appear until I’m ready for it so each time the script activates another window it “WinSet, Alway...

Re: Need to modify a string

Hello, It now seems the solution from swagfag was not just what I needed. If I start with this string "This 456-mh-666-g-87 Part" I need to end up with this "This 456-MH-666-G-87 Part" and I am getting this "THIS 456-MH-666-G-87 PART". I just want letters that are attached to numbers with "-" to be ...

Re: Combining conditions with different SetTitleMatchMode values.

At first I tried this script in a standalone application and it seemed to work fine. When I incorporated it into my regular script it stopped working. I noticed that when I checked “cond1” on its own it kept showing that Pictures.ahk did exist even though it seemed that it did not. I went to AutoHot...

Combining conditions with different SetTitleMatchMode values.

I have 4 or 5 hotkeys that I want to be able to use only if both of these conditions are met. DetectHiddenWindows, On SetTitleMatchMode, 2 IfWinNotExist, Pictures.ahk -And- SetTitleMatchMode, 1 IFWinActive, Microsoft Excel - Interchange.xlsm I’m guessing I need to somehow combine these 2 conditions ...

Re: string split results

I've got so much to learn here. I've been trying to get by with 1.21 for years now because I did not want to mess with what seemed like a good thing. I went ahead and updated to 1.30 and the original script from swagfag now works fine and so far everything else seems to be okay. I guess time will te...

Re: string split results

Thanks for taking the time to respond here. I'm getting a error here. "Error: Too many parameters passed to Function" I went back to the AHK String Split page and tried to change a few things but I'm not able to get this.

string split results

When I run this str = Red Green Blue \Big\Small\Med s:=StrSplit(str,"\") T1:= s.1 T2:= s.2 MsgBox % T1 MsgBox % T2 T1 is good for me but T2 equals "Big". I want "\Big|Small\Med" (With all 3 back slashes). In some cases there may be more or less back slashes. I just want everything after the first on...

Need to modify a string

This works to make all letters in a string that are connected to digits uppercase. For example makes bb30 go to BB30 or 30bb go to 30BB. SubstrUpperCase := RegExReplace(SubstrUpperCase, "\b([a-zA-Z]*)(\d+)([a-zA-Z]*)\b", "$U1$2$U3") I now need to make bb-30 go to BB-30 or 30-bb go to 30-BB. I tried ...
