Re: [GAME] REGEX FROGGER

Very cool! I have to ask though, why "regex"? Those are RegEx components driving up and down the street--yes?
Now that I think of it though... Regular Expressions ARE a bit intimidating. Probably a good thing to use.

Re: SendInput is sluggish, stops

Thanks for the additional feedback. The {Text} text mode thing resulted in it typing a caret. "^" I do indeed have 1.1.28.0 As it turns out, I may have fixed the problem by dumping Internet Explorer. In retrospect, this is probably the first thing I should have tried... The only reason that I even u...

Re: SendInput is sluggish, stops

A good thought swagfag. I actually do have a much-altered version of the most excellent autocorrect script that runs constantly in the background. So even though that script is not getting activated during the use of my above script, I suppose that it is "hooking" the keyboard ?? I'm not sure. Anywa...

Re: SendInput is sluggish, stops

Hi Safetycar,
I just wanted to pop in and say thanks. I'm currently trying this. At first it wasn't working, but I just noticed that I didn't have the comma in it. Am going to try again.

SendInput is sluggish, stops

Hi Folks, This script works well for the most part, but often it is sluggish and slow entering text, and sometimes the part where it enters text will just stop. Firstly, let me point out that this was written several years ago with MUCH help from people on the forum here -- Thank you all! The script...

Re: Actually remove needle from haystack? Topic is solved

Ha! I'm so stupid. I intentionally built that functionality into the script already and forgot. Before posting, I searched my script for "regexreplace" and didn't find it, but it's actually "stringreplace" that I used. (Long script, second post, 2/3s the way down.) Sorry about that everyone. And tha...

Re: Actually remove needle from haystack? Topic is solved

I'll paste my actual code below. It's a script that creates an Outlook Calendar item. It works like: 1. Copy selected text 2. Regex match possible location, time, date, then subject. 2b. Pop up a Msg of the haystack and matches. 3. Open the Calendar form 4. Use Outlook's hotkeys to enter the things....

Actually remove needle from haystack? Topic is solved

Hi Folks, If I run this code #SingleInstance force ;################################# HaystackText := "The red firetruck." Needle := "(fire|water)" RegExMatch(HaystackText, Needle, myVar) MsgBox Found %myVar% `nHaystack is %HaystackText% return The result is: --------------------------- Found fire H...

Re: Lintalist 1.9 Searchable interactive lists to copy & paste text with plugins

Thanks for the update. Lintalist continues to impress! Note: I just reinstalled it after not using it for a while. I kept getting an error when I tried to save a new snippet. It turned out that there was no Lintalist/bundles folder (and hence no bundles/default.txt file). Adding the directory and fi...

Normally I'd agree with the flexibility of an ini file, but for this particular application (sobriety), I think that having the date "hard coded" might be more appropriate(?)

Re: [GDI+ Object] Subtitle.Render() - Beautiful Text on Screen

Actually, another possible glitch: It seems that, when the text is rendered, all {Tab} chars are stripped(?) This is the case whether reading from a text file, or a variable from within the script. I don't think it's tied to the .Desktop part.

Re: [GDI+ Object] Subtitle.Render() - Beautiful Text on Screen

EDIT2: Eh, the Desktop() function is really buggy. It's not consistent on all versions of Windows and disappears after Win + Tab is pressed. Still experimental, not sure if it should be removed or kept. Kept please! :D Thanks for the tips! Yes, I had noticed that there are fundamentally different w...

Re: [GDI+ Object] Subtitle.Render() - Beautiful Text on Screen

Straight to Evernote :) New question: What is the proper syntax for using a variable in place of the font color? You can see here, where I've tried a couple of different things that don't work. #NoEnv ;NOT WORKING #SingleInstance force #include <Subtitle> varTop := "Top line here" varBot ...

Re: [GDI+ Object] Subtitle.Render() - Beautiful Text on Screen

Thanks Iseahound! I thought I had tried that permutation--but I guess not. Tip for anyone using different font colors: Iseahound seems to have made subtitle.ahk observant of all the CSS colors, by common name. They are listed here , if you're not sure what colors the names correspond to. Inconspicuo...

Re: [GDI+ Object] Subtitle.Render() - Beautiful Text on Screen

Question: Is it possible to have separate bits of text drawn to the Desktop? Ah ha. I see now that it was the second "new" command that was easing the first part... Which seems like a no-brainer to me now. The second question is still open though... Bigger Top Line. Smaller, second line......

Re: [GDI+ Object] Subtitle.Render() - Beautiful Text on Screen

It does seem to work for me on Windows 10.
First I had to remember to update the Subtitle.ahk file in my /lib/ folder though :)

And yes--it's all the way at the bottom... Even below my other text that is pinned to the Desktop!

Re: [GDI+ Object] Subtitle.Render() - Beautiful Text on Screen

This is very cool Iseahound! Thanks for sharing it. I definitely want to integrate this into my tool that prints text onto my wallpaper. (Technically I believe it's a transparent GUI that is pinned to the desktop.) I thought I'd tweak your first example and try to pin it to the desktop. I copy-n-pas...

Re: [Script] KeypressOSD - Display key press on screen

Actually, I have an interesting idea... Rather than "Left Click" and "Right Click," have "Left Mouse Click" and "Right Mouse Click." Then, if the user holds the mouse button down, the display changes to "Left Mouse Down" or "Right Mouse Down." Even groovier: If the user holds down the mouse button d...
