Re: Block Alt key (menu function), but preserve alt-shortcuts

By the way, I'm now using the ~Alt::Send '{Blind}{vkE8}' command, and noticed that in Powershell 7 (but not in the default cmd or old system powershell) it prints the @ symbol on each alt press (checked vkFF and vk07 as well) Will open a ticket with them, but was just curious if it might be related ...

@lexikos sorry missed your response in due time. However, I don't get how it's working for you as I've tested it again (and with a few different A2 builds) on two machines and the

Re: The script does not change the input language in some windows

I know it's been a while since your post and hopefuly you've resolved all your input language issues by now, but I've recently decided to fix the same issues for me and while searching for answers found your post with the same question, so I though I might share my solution here as well: Get/Set inp...

Re: I need help with getting Active Keyboard Layout without DllCall

Hey, I know that you specifically asked for a way to do this without DllCall, but just wanted to mention my script example anyway since it at least solves the issues 1–3 (though it's in the newer version 2 of AutoHotkey)

Get/Set input/keyboard layout in Console/UWP/Steam/Dialog windows[a122]

I'd like to share two functions for getting and setting keyboard language /layout (input locale) that have a better implementation for console windows (without addons) than in some of the AHK examples I could find on this forum or around the net. Though obviously I might've missed the right examples...

Block Alt key (menu function), but preserve alt-shortcuts

I'm trying to block the annoying menu function of the Alt key (single press) while retaining its other functions (e.g. - I still want Alt f to navigate to the File menu and - I still want Alt x ("!x") Autohotkey hotkey to work, just don't need the single press menu function) I've tried following thi...

Re: Make 'd' a prefix key without introducing typing delays

However, it needs an enhancement to ignore keypresses before "d" has been activated. At least I've found a way how to fix this issue! I though that I needed a timer since A_PriorKey to exclude all keys prior to firing up my d hotkey and while it'd be great if AutoHotkey had it, I've stumbled upon a...

Re: Make 'd' a prefix key without introducing typing delays

During some more testing I think I managed to get a better working code, but I got even more confused as to the reasons the previous one was broken — apparently, different values of threshold trigger the double or even infinite loops, while some other values work normal!!! Since I don't really under...

Re: Make 'd' a prefix key without introducing typing delays

Helgef thanks! Can your grow a bit more beard on your smiley face ;) and help fix these two issues 1. [critical] typing dud too fast gets me _d 2. [less so] autorepeat in this combo: this will especially be a challenge during transition as I might press the new d prefix for a bit too long while try...

Re: Make 'd' a prefix key without introducing typing delays

swagfag thank you for the suggestion, but unfortunately it severly impedes typing by suppressing the first d , e.g. when I try to type did I get idd instead Also, I'd like any keypress when d is held down before threshold is reached to cancel entering the modifier status since it's obvious that I d...

Make 'd' a prefix key without introducing typing delays

I'm trying to create a more convenient way to insert some characters (e.g. underscore _ which currently requires a double-pinky keypress). I'd like to make one of the most convenient keys d to act like a modifier when it's been pressed for longer than 400ms (but, and this is the tricky part, otherwi...

Re: locking my screen not with Win L Topic is solved

[/code] If there is *some way* to lock the workstation, even when DisableLockWorkstation is set to 1, that would be interesting. Cheers. I think there is a better way where you need neither an elevated script nor two UAC prompts . The trick is creating two tasks in the Task Scheduler that would fli...

Re: Horizontal Listbox Topic is solved

Thanks a lot, just me , that's exactly what I was looking for!!! It's a pity this extra ability to control ListBoxes isn't mentioned in the documents Now, the last feature I'd need is the ability to show the [email protected] Caret location , but only if that caret is inside an editable text field . Horizontal Listbox Topic is solved

I've created a macOS-like character selection function, i.e. when you hold A you can select áàâäāæãå characters via a GUI like this: CharPick.png I've used the Listbox GUI element than contains an predefined array of symbols so that I can: [*] select by pressing a single button from the first column...
