Loop (and create a countdown) on a var created from args

I am starting my ahk script from a python scrip with an argument "number" (which is an integer but set as a string variable): subprocess.call([path_ahk_exe, path_ahk_script_countdown, number]) Then in the ahk script I need to create a Tooltip that countdown from the time set in the args. If Number i...

Disable the key alt when it's pressed alone (while allowing to work in combination with other keys). Topic is solved

In many apps, such as chrome pressing alt lose the focus (the cursor goes to the menu) I'm struggling to find the way to disable that simple keystroke without losing all my shortcuts which work with the alt and others keys (ex: alt+x). Any idea? This stack answer https://superuser.com/a/615424/23575...

Get path of selected file/folder or of current folder Topic is solved

When I am on a file explorer windows, I would like to get the path of the selected files/folders or of the current folder with a single keystroke. Here is my script, it's working except that I get backslash when I selected a file/folder and I get forward slash for the current folder. How can I get e...

Re: #If WinActive doesn't recognise the active windows Topic is solved

ok, I finally found the solution thanks this https://www.autohotkey.com/boards/viewt ... =76&t=0370 thread.

in brief, "SetTitleMatchMode, Regex" must be added on the top of the script to work (before the first "hotkey" (xx::) "return" or "exit").

Re: #If WinActive not working when using #Include Topic is solved

Wow, this is working. You were right, I didn't understand how SetTitleMatchMode, Regex works. Thanks so much for your time and your patience! Something that I still don't understand though is that the #If WinActive() get registered with the hotkeys even if #If WinActive() is below the first hotkey ....

Re: #If WinActive not working when using #Include Topic is solved

Thanks a lot gregster for your time. I think I understand the part about auto-execute section and hotkey that will break the auto-execute. I tried many combination but still without being able to use my google docs keybindings and the brightness. Here is a small portion of my main.ahk (but I think t...

#If WinActive not working when using #Include Topic is solved

I have a main.ahk script in which I have all my key bindings. Yesterday I have added a keybindings for changing the brightness. I am using this https://www.autohotkey.com/boards/viewtopic.php?t=26921&p=126135 So I saved this https://gist.githubusercontent.com/qwerty12/4b3f41eb61724cd9e8f2bb5cc15c33c...

#If WinActive doesn't recognise the active windows Topic is solved

"WinGetTitle" returns "My Log - Google Sheets - Google Chrome" So this works: SetTitleMatchMode, Regex #If WinActive("My Log - Google Sheets - Google Chrome") But I want my code to work for all Google sheets so I tried (amongst others) If WinActive("Google Sheets ahk_class Chrome_WidgetWin_1") ;and ...

::test:: send multiline text will send "test" instead of the first item *when run in the script*

It seems there is a bug with the ::test::

Just try this but inside the script (where this code is written). (I'm using the VScode editor)

Code: Select all

::test::
send,
(
line1
line2
line3
)

return
It sends:

Code: Select all

testline2
line3

Re: removing double blank lines using regex

It's getting closer: this one removes the multiple blank lines *when the text contains line breaks*, but... it adds an extra line when the text doesn't contain line break... Crazy... ^!Space:: clipboard = Send, ^a Send, ^c ClipWait clipboard := RegExReplace(clipboard,"\v\v+","`n`n") ; v find vertica...
