i think you are loosing characters because of the velocity of barcode scanner. It sends a lot of characters like "01561012|asasdcva`asdas|fasdfasdf" and this script you created doesnt "buffer" this to send correcly to excel. if you interact too fast with excel by send command, excel cant respond at ...
