Re: [AHK Test Build - 5th Nov 2015] Scrollbars, GuiControl Auto-Position+Size system, and more!

I just stumbled onto this while trying to figure out if it is possible to increase the size of scroll bars for DropDownLists. This looks amazing. Have there been any updates since 12/2015?

Windows 10 Tablet Input Panel Detection? (TabTip.exe)

I am trying to toggle the on screen keyboard from a GUI button, much like the task bar icon. (Not present in a Kiosk that runs without the task bar.) I found an older thread with some information on how to open / close the window. (Windows 7/8 perhaps?) https://autohotkey.com/board/topic/36272-solve...

Re: Team Speak Push to Talk key

It appears that contrlSend does not work with teamspeak 3 -- or at least I could not get it to work. That said, apparently if you go to: Settings > Options > Hotkeys Select the drop down box that says "Default" and change it to "Keyboard and Mouse". Right click your push to talk key in the list, and...

Re: Windows 10 Explorer / Start Menu

I also could not find any useful information on how to force windows 10 to open the start menu via command line or registry key. I can confirm the start menu / task bar do not open for me as well; when setting a compiled AHK script to the shell, for a specific user, using GPO -- "User Configuration/...

Re: Windows 10, Custom User Interface, IniRead always returns ERROR? Topic is solved

Thank you Lexikos. I decided to try:

Code: Select all

#NoEnv
#Persistent

IniRead, t1, %A_ScriptDir%\test.ini, Program, name
IniRead, t2, %A_ScriptDir%\test.ini, Program, target

msgbox % "name = " . t1 . "`ntarget = " . t2

F1::
{
	Reload
	return
}
That works just fine in kiosk mode too.

Windows 10, Custom User Interface, IniRead always returns ERROR? Topic is solved

By "Custom User Interface" I am referring to the Windows XP/Vista/7/8/10 ... Group Policy Object for "User Configuration/Policies/Administrative Templates/System/Custom User Interface" which allows you to run a custom program rather than the default explorer.exe When I disable the GPO, running windo...

Re: Suggestions on documentation improvements

Thank you Lexikos, I somehow missed example 3 -- which does include a good message box example. :facepalm: I originally had some issues when attempting to use the catch clause from example 1. It would always have nothing / blank directly after "specifically". I was really confused, until I started u...

Run, *RunAs Topic is solved

Using Run, *RunAs ... seems like the simplest way to allow elevation to run a specific program. From the docs: On Windows Vista and later, the *RunAs verb may be used in place of the Run As Administrator right-click menu item. I am curious though, what happens in XP? I don't actually need to run any...

Re: Send ^variable? Topic is solved

When it comes to modifier keys, you might want to forcibly make sure it sends UP/DOWN appropriately. ; Ctrl + S example Send,{ctrl DOWN}{s DOWN}{s UP}{ctrl UP} In Notepad I had some weird behavior where it would type s into the document, and then ask me if I wanted to overwrite. I tried several comb...

Re: Need help with Classes Topic is solved

Here's a class I was working on for a while. You can easily extend the class, and Override the Activate function to do whatever you want it too. The magic happens in the keyName[] property where it binds the class method to the hotkey. Here's the example code of how to bind a class method to a hotke...

Re: Suggestions on documentation improvements

Examples from: https://autohotkey.com/docs/commands/Try.htm https://autohotkey.com/docs/commands/Catch.htm Neither the Try, nor the Catch page actually gives a good working example of a catch statement. You have to go to the Throw page to find out what e.Message, e.What, etc. are. It makes a lot mor...

Team Speak Push to Talk key

Is there a way to block your push to talk key from sending to any other programs but team speak, while the TS window exists? Example: NumpadMult:: { uid := WinExist("TeamSpeak") ; How do I send this only to the uid above? } Bascially, if I have TS open, then I don't want to spam whatever window/game...

Re: AHK DBA - ADO update query rows affected? Topic is solved

Interesting, I was able to get Blackholyman's method to work fine as well using Gio's method with the ComVar functions. I was also able to edit AHK DBA as well By Creating: "ComVar.ahk" /* Functions to handle COM objects ByRef source: https://autohotkey.com/docs/commands/ComObjActive.htm#ByRefEx */ ...

Re: AHK DBA - ADO update query rows affected? Topic is solved

@ Blackholyman I really appreciate the time spent to help me. I tested the code and get the same results as AHK DBA. The record gets changed, but liRecordsAffected is an empty string. If I initialize liRecordsAffected to 0 at the start, the msgbox displays 0 as the value has not been changed at all....

AHK DBA - ADO update query rows affected? Topic is solved

https://github.com/IsNull/ahkDBA Unfortunately, there are no update SQL query examples in the example file, and I didn't see any in the archived thread: https://autohotkey.com/board/topic/71179-ahk-l-dba-16-oop-sql-database-sqlite-mysql-ado/ A basic example: connectionString := "Provider=Microsoft.J...

Love this editor. It really is quite nice to use. I was wondering if it is possible to add folding for sub-routines?
Something like folding from : to return, gosub or goto.

Variadic ByRef?

From what I have searched you cannot simply do
MyFunc(ByRef params*)
{
}

It appears to affect Func.Bind(params*).

Is there a way to create a function object (or a class with a callable function) that retains the reference to the parameters similar to ByRef?

[Solved] Override __Call() when there is no key()? Topic is solved

If I understand things correctly, whenever you call a method of a class __Call() is invoked. This recursively searches the object (and its base classes) for the key that is the function name. If that key exists, call the function. Else return "" Is there example code of the default __Call() method? ...
