Re: Yes, another post on working with pdf files ...

I just took a look at it a little more. I am guessing what I would need would require 2 steps. Say I need pages 65-73 of a 73-page document, and each of those need to be individual sheets. First, I would need to use something like this: pdftk in.pdf cat 1-12 14-end output out1.pdf (but without the 1...

Re: Yes, another post on working with pdf files ...

I did look at pdftk briefly, but from what I could see it had to be installed. Can this be run from a portable version? I forgot to mention that this would be on a work PC, and they're pretty picky about what can be installed. I have to get about 16 levels of approval it seems like. :/ But the scrip...

Yes, another post on working with pdf files ...

Here is my task: Every Friday, I have to download a file from Oracle of all open invoices from one particular customer. Then I have to find the the first new invoice created within the last 7 days. I then print those last several pages to a new pdf file. Then I split them (they are 99% of the time 1...

Re: Script for hotkey on background window

00ps, I sure did!! good catch! ::embarrassed:: There is generally no guarantee that ControlSend will work, but in this case you are using the parameters wrong. You can leave the first parameter Control blank, but you are leaving it out completely. Please compare the docs: ControlSend [, Control , Ke...

Re: GUI/PopUp with options to paste text ??

The listview is a good idea. I did get the toolwindow to do just what I want, but it turns out I have a lot more info that I wanted to put in the window than I thought. It took up half my monitor when I had all of it loaded in. :problem:

Re: GUI/PopUp with options to paste text ??

Your #2 edit is closer what I am wanting, and your suggested code looks very promising. I am about to start playing with it. I am building this app on top of a much smaller search/clipboard script I've been using for years. What it does is gather bits of data on my customer from a file (used to be e...

Re: Refocus to ListView via Keyboard?

or (because it's a Gui control) GuiControl, Focus, MylistView Yeah, this seems more specific ... and when I have to go back to the code after months of not touching it (if I ever get to that point!! :superhappy: LOL) , I'll probably be able to pinpoint what it is a lot quicker (MyListView vs SysLis...

Re: Script for hotkey on background window

I think the problem might be that you're putting your hotkey inside the script. I don't think that's allowed. try using a hotkey/label combo? (not tested):

Code: Select all

Hotkey, IfWinExist, delSong, AIMP (32bit)
Hotkey, ^0, delSong
Return

delSong:
{
	ControlSend, ^o, AIMP (32bit)
}
Return

GUI/PopUp with options to paste text ??

So in this world, you're either a mouser or a keyboarder, right? I'm trying to create a helper pop-up window of some type that will either remind the keyboarder of the keyboard shortcuts to use or have clickable areas for the mouser to click on. But what I am envisioning is a popup that has several ...

Re: INI File Helper

Thanks for the calendar update. However, as I was searching for INI related topics, yours came up. I responded. It doesn't make my opinion any less valid just because of the age of the thread. Again, your code may NOT be self explanatory to a newbie. I was merely suggesting if you wanted to be helpf...

Is it Possible to Wrap Text in ListView?

Is it possible to wrap text in a ListView GUI? I do already have it set to expand the column on hover if it overflows, but I was just curious if it was possible to set specific columns to wrap. Some of the columns I have in my script have the potential to get lengthy, but I don't want to make the GU...

Refocus to ListView via Keyboard?

I have a listview with a groupbox below it. I have keyboard shortcuts to navigate to all the locations in the groupbox and the buttons, but I can't seem to find any way to create a keyboard shortcut to refocus in the listview area. Thanks for looking! Full script posted below, just in case it's need...

Re: INI File Helper

I have to agree with joefiesta. I understand that you don't like to "comment" your code. I don't either. I like it to look as clean as possible -- often to my own detriment. I'll go back and look at it again months later to edit, and I have to literally study it to figure out WTH I was thinking when...

Re: Can anyone help me figure out why my Listview isn't limiting the # of lines?

I just figured it out!! I had a resizing label at the very bottom that I had just pasted in without really studying it ... I figured that was a "prettifier" that I'd deal with later. This morning,I decided to start over, pasting bits and pieces of my code to a brand new script and testing as I went ...

Re: Can anyone help me figure out why my Listview isn't limiting the # of lines?

Thanks for taking a look! The MyListView label is really just a placeholder at the moment -- I haven't gotten that far yet! (eventually it should populate the row items in the edit area below by double-clicking, etc.) If I remove everything below the Add, ListView line, it shows only 15 lines of the...

Can anyone help me figure out why my Listview isn't limiting the # of lines?

I have pulled my hair out most of the afternoon trying to figure out why my ListView shows however many rows it wants to show when I have specifically entered a value with "R." It's showing about 34 lines no matter what I do. Can you spot the issue? (.ini is included as an attachment) Gui, Acct:Defa...

Re: [function collection] AHK-Rare with comfortable Gui for searching

Insane! What a user interface can so enliven or what bugs bring to life! I had planned something else today, but did not want to put off anybody with programs that did not work. So now I want to build something in the real world. My sheep will get lambs and they need it warm! Real world?? There's a...
