Re: Designated Email Window in Chrome

I don't understand why just dealing with a window's unique ID wouldn't just work ... I mean, isn't it a window just like anything else? When I try to think logically through the issue, I think do I have window x? if yes, use window x. if no, create window x. if I close window x, then I don't have wi...

Re: Designated Email Window in Chrome

So is there a problem with the way I phrased my question? Did I fail an ahk etiquette test or something? I'm super confused why I haven't gotten even one halfhearted stab at addressing my issue.

Re: Designated Email Window in Chrome

No, the mail isn't complicated at all. Straight up text with a little bit of variable substitution. But creating the new email is not my problem. (I also am doing this on a work computer, so NO additional programs, server stuff, etc. can be used.) My problem is designating the browser window in whic...

Re: Designated Email Window in Chrome

No ... it's not used with browser settings. This is part of a much larger script. This portion of the script sends a new email to the customer on that line of my listbox script. If you are attempting to test the script I have, I believe you should be able to just comment those lines out and the rest...

Designated Email Window in Chrome

I have days where I have to send out multiple statements via email. I generally have 2-3 browser windows open. The last browser window I had active is automatically used to start a new tab when creating a email. That bugs me. I want them to start in a designated window so they're not jumping all ove...

Oracle R12 -- Keep Alive!! Need Ideas

I have to work in Oracle R12 sporadically throughout my day. If I let it sit for more than 20-30 min without using it, it will log me out. It does not give me any warning, just does it. I use a lot of scripts that assume I've already got R12 is up and running, but when it has timed out I have to go ...

Re: ListView + File Object + SAP

Thanks BNOLI! I will take a look at all of this. Maybe I will find a breakthrough. At the moment, I am in "on a break" with scripting SAP ... but hopefully soon I will have the mental fortitude to give it another go! ;) Just to update -- I got my "add account number & name to separate text file" scr...

ListView + File Object + SAP

Okay ... I have a completely Jerry-rigged (no offense to Jerry) script to help me navigate my accounts when using SAP & exporting statements, etc. It's a complete nightmare. I hate SAP sooooo much. But so far I have managed to cobble together enough stuff to make SAP somewhat tolerable. Background: ...

Re: Yes, another post on working with pdf files ...

I just took a look at it a little more. I am guessing what I would need would require 2 steps. Say I need pages 65-73 of a 73-page document, and each of those need to be individual sheets. First, I would need to use something like this: pdftk in.pdf cat 1-12 14-end output out1.pdf (but without the 1...

Re: Yes, another post on working with pdf files ...

I did look at pdftk briefly, but from what I could see it had to be installed. Can this be run from a portable version? I forgot to mention that this would be on a work PC, and they're pretty picky about what can be installed. I have to get about 16 levels of approval it seems like. :/ But the scrip...

Yes, another post on working with pdf files ...

Here is my task: Every Friday, I have to download a file from Oracle of all open invoices from one particular customer. Then I have to find the the first new invoice created within the last 7 days. I then print those last several pages to a new pdf file. Then I split them (they are 99% of the time 1...

Re: Script for hotkey on background window

00ps, I sure did!! good catch! ::embarrassed:: There is generally no guarantee that ControlSend will work, but in this case you are using the parameters wrong. You can leave the first parameter Control blank, but you are leaving it out completely. Please compare the docs: ControlSend [, Control , Ke...

Re: GUI/PopUp with options to paste text ??

The listview is a good idea. I did get the toolwindow to do just what I want, but it turns out I have a lot more info that I wanted to put in the window than I thought. It took up half my monitor when I had all of it loaded in. :problem:

Re: GUI/PopUp with options to paste text ??

Your #2 edit is closer what I am wanting, and your suggested code looks very promising. I am about to start playing with it. I am building this app on top of a much smaller search/clipboard script I've been using for years. What it does is gather bits of data on my customer from a file (used to be e...

Re: Script for hotkey on background window

I think the problem might be that you're putting your hotkey inside the script. I don't think that's allowed. try using a hotkey/label combo? (not tested):

Code: Select all

Hotkey, IfWinExist, delSong, AIMP (32bit)
Hotkey, ^0, delSong
Return

delSong:
{
	ControlSend, ^o, AIMP (32bit)
}
Return

GUI/PopUp with options to paste text ??

So in this world, you're either a mouser or a keyboarder, right? I'm trying to create a helper pop-up window of some type that will either remind the keyboarder of the keyboard shortcuts to use or have clickable areas for the mouser to click on. But what I am envisioning is a popup that has several ...
