Re: Quickbooks AHK plus inputting today's date

Hi all, Total newb to AHK, I'm trying to get a first-draft script going for use with Quickbooks Desktop, to automate the export of Sales reports in .csv format. I've reviewed the common starter-table for key mappings, and saw a few similar threads on the archived AHK forums, but not quite fitting t...

"Reload" opens 2 scripts...4...8...16...CRASHED

Just installed the newest version of autohotkey 1.1.31.01 and the bug is still in full force #SingleInstance force ^^^ Fails to be respected when the script reboots often and it's maxing CPU??? It happens by random chance but occasionally my script will duplicate from 1 into 2 scripts then if I'm ev...

Re: Can I make this faster?

I think that making the source images smaller (be as small as possible but still unique obviously) helps with that command. And lower your pixel range if you can. also...who knows but #MaxHotkeysPerInterval 99000000 #HotkeyInterval 99000000 SetKeyDelay, -1, -1 (^^^you forgot the second entry for how...

Re: [SUDOKU] Generator + Bonus Version

Hope it all makes sense!
And if anyone has ideas for deciding the given cells let me know...Notes of my initial thoughts are at the bottom of the main script. Maybe that'll stimulate your big brain.
Let me know

[SUDOKU] Generator + Bonus Version

Let me first say that I haven't written the script to decide which cells should be given for free so that you can actually play the game to completion... ...but.... someone requested I post it anyways so here you go! This 2 part script (Main script initialized through a secondary loop with launch o...

Re: Word Unscrambler for cyrillic words/characters

I did everything you suggested, and I initially thought it doesn't run but, it turns out it just takes very long time to load /about 7-9mins/. Thank for the feedback, I did learn how carriage return and line feed worked, and how to save in UDF-8. BTW, the typo "word.txt" was in the post here, not i...

Re: Anagrams

If you feel that it is finished I don't feel that the project is finished in a good way. More like: I am finished as I can not improve it further. There still are some multi-word anagrams missing for sufficiently large inputs like eleven plus two . There are plenty multi-word anagrams found and dis...

Some anagram scripts, see above for the functions: JEE_StrGetSubwords and JEE_StrAlphabetise. ;see basic example, that doesn't use the function, here: ;Anagrams - AutoHotkey Community ;https://autohotkey.com/boards/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=34240&p=158484#p158484 ;GitHub - dwyl/english-words: A text fil...

Re: Anagrams

Hello. I have several comments. First, I see little need to improve something that works more or less instantly, in a on-user-typing context. I still think this is true, however, trying to improve serves other purposes, such as learning and just having fun ;) So I will try to contribute with some i...

Re: Anagrams

Thank you very much for your explanation of how this algorithm works. In my attempt to implement it I only had success half way. I can correctly produce 2**n -1 substrings for n-letters input (e.g. 15 subs for 4 letters). However I don't yet get how I should avoid repetitions. See the following imp...

Re: Anagrams

can you just explain what LengthSort(a, b) is doing for you? Sure, it's called by this line Sort, WordList, D| F LengthSort . It's a custom sort "instruction" which is explained better than I could in Sort , under the option F . It's function is to sort longer input higher in the sorted list than s...

Re: Anagrams

Edit I am looking at v1.10 before any memory saving which slows down performance considering the perfect solves won't make 85 billion words to make your memory usage huge anyways to make my changes for a perfect solve on your script. Edit2 So I'll look at that and tell you if I give up, but for now ...

Re: Anagrams

Hi littlegandhi1199 , just a quick note, an update on "my progress". I want to demonstrate that I finally understand what you are talking about, or so I hope. :) I have added to my script a time measurement again. There was one back in v1.02, which I did not release. added: display of time measurem...

Helgef really set us up pretty nicely and I'm glad you were inspired to build this thing for yourself after coming to help me with my problems. I'm having tons of fun  I couldn't agree more! I'm having fun too. :D Things for me to do: 1) check out you tracer - I'm looking forward to that. :)...

Re: Anagrams

Yes, the last entry of size 4 in output.txt is at line 238,711. Got it. I will come back to all the issues you mentioned, one by one, when I get the time. (sort alphabetically for each size separately, as a start) In the meantime I am gonna build a script modifier that can check the time for every ...

Re: Anagrams

OK, now I have done the thing with output.txt: There are in fact 245,745 entries there, with a lot of repetitions. Thanks for pointing that out. The repetitions don't carry over to the returned array, and neither do the not-existing combinations. If Not Store[n].HasKey(Keyword) That's where the fil...

Re: Anagrams

In the meantime I will try to understand where you get so much speed... :( In my opinion, the speed is mainly coming from Helgef 's suggestion here , saying "make a list of all anagrams, then look up in that list". Regarding "8500 queries when there are only 1815 necessary": To be honest, I have no...

Re: TypingAid v2.22.0 - Word AutoCompletion Utility

Great share. But I still think this is best for no-nonsense http://wordlist.aspell.net/12dicts/
The 12dicts lists are oriented towards common words. If you're looking for myriads of archaic, scientific or computer jargon words, you should look elsewhere.
