No Valid COM Object! - WBGet()

My exact error is: No Valid COM Object! Return, ComObj(9,ComObjQuery(pdoc,IID,IID),1),ObjRelease(pdoc) This error happens intermittently and is driving me nuts! I've tried for days and it's just over my head to figure out. Any help? The error occurs on line 61, which calls the function on line 126 w...

Re: Web Scraping with AutoHotkey & COM Tutorial- GUI syntax writer and demo videos

Hi Joe! I just wanted to pose a big THANK YOU for these tutorials and iWB2. I often have to lookup information on a website at work and now I can do it by pressing one button. I kept putting off the automation because I thought it would be very time consuming to learn everything I needed to learn, b...

OK. Thanks for the help. I'm going to 'old school' this by just writing the script to click on the buttons in the right order.

COM Methods reference for IE

I can't find the references for MS Office programs, but not for IE. Can somebody point me in the right direction?

I'm looking for the equivalent of the link below, but for IE.

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/office ... ixedformat

Thanks Much.

Lock/Unlock without password

This script is for people who are forced to use long complicated passwords and may have screensavers set to lock users out of a system at a predetermined set time of inactivity. I finally got tired of typing a long password with special characters several time a day. I put this script together so I ...

Re: Problem with passing parameters between scripts with a space in a variable

I'd be interested in revisiting this. I'm also trying to figure out how to deal with spaces in filenames. In the past I just change the file name and replace "spaces" with "_" and then continue on...... NewFileName := StrReplace(OldFileName, A_Space , "_") FileMove, %OldFileName%, %NewFileName% but ...

Re: Calling search and replace in MS Words

In case you have several to do at once: MSWordMultiReplace("apple", "banana", "one", "two") MSWordMultiReplace(params*) ; params* can be any number of text pairs the first of the pair being the text to be replaced, the second the replacement text { ; thus ("apple", "banana", "one", "two") will repla...

Best way to write this w/o admin privilages

The following code is not reliable, any ideas on how to make it work (almost) 100% of the time? The mouse clicks and movements become disrupted sometimes if I bump/move the mouse. I don't have admin privileges, thus BlockInput doesn't work. SendMode Input Random, x1, 881, 936 Random, x2, 1157, 1237 ...

How to click the mouse without moving the pointer

Is there any easy way to click the mouse without moving the pointer?

Ideally I'd like a thread to be running on one screen while I work with mouse on another screen.

Possible?

Thanks,

Re: setting a value in an associative array of associative arrays using variables Topic is solved

I am having difficulty communicating today and I'm making things too difficult. My main question: How would I write: Person["Max"]["color"] := "blue" if I was using k1 is Max and k2 is color where both Max and color are non-quoted keys in an associative array of associative arrays so I end up with P...

I'm trying to set the value within the double for loop, thus I'd only have the two variables to work with. I'm just looking for the syntax of the line I quoted in my question.

Re: ImageSearch 2-nd display

If you are trying to look ONLY on the second screen, then I can't help you. If you want to find it on any screen then just Window spy to find your largest x and y number on either screen, then just do and image search to the largest x and y number. ImageSearch, FoundX, FoundY, 0, 0, largest x, large...

What is the correct syntax for "person[k1][k2] := "purple" below? (I know this example doesn't make a lot of sense since everything would be set to "purple") Jack := {profession: "teacher" , height: "tall" , country: "USA" , city: "New York"} Paul := {profession: "cook" , height: "short" , country: ...

Trying to sort a list that is neither numerical or alphabetical Topic is solved

I have this list: 12,2-1,2-1,2-2-1,2-2-2,3,3,4,4,5 , is the delimiter character I would like the list to go in this order: 2-1,2-2-1,2-2-2,3,4,5,12 (all duplicates removed) I've been back and forth through the sort command, but I think this will require a custom sort. I'm not sure on the easiest way...

Very large variable error Topic is solved

I have a variable that is 4200 words long, each word averaging about 12 characters long and separated by "****". I'm using SciTE4AutoHotKey I'm getting an error of "Missing close-quote" from the editor. However, I've confirmed the actual problem is that the variable is too long. I'm not sure if the ...
