Re: Shortcut to Windows Settings Topic is solved

I'm not sure, but in the older Win versions, you could run a command line for a control panel, and then add a suffix with a comma and a tab number, starting with 0 for the first tab. That would navigate to a specific tab within the control panel. Windows had to start using "Apps" because they thoug...

Re: Color Buttons Function Library

Ah yes, I didn't know about the block character. Although it still isn't exactly accurate it pretty close, when you add a border you can see clickable space outside of the colored area. Even with this I would make a function to combine all four lines of code. Thanks

Color Buttons Function Library

I've been looking for ways to make simple, colorful buttons that closer resemble the flat buttons used today than the built in buttons function. Previous to this I would use a picture with text placed on top but I would have to make sure the pics were uploaded with the script. Today I found a functi...

Dot Game

Every been playing a game and though to yourself "I could script this game in AutoHotKey."? No? It's just me then? Anyway, this is a simple game where you remove tiles to find the hidden image made from dots. Left click a tile to guess dot. Right click if you think it's blank. 10 wrong guesses ends ...

Re: Rotary Knob - Potentiometer

I would say that just using up and down is the way to go, but I had to try the other way simply because I've never actually used any other dial controls on a computer before and had no idea how they normally work lol. Originally, back in 2011, I didn't know how they worked either which is one of th...

Re: Rotary Knob - Potentiometer

Hey man this is really cool, I'd never though of making a control like this before, and this looks very nice! I hope you don't mind but I've make some alterations in attempt to condense the code a bit, hopefully that's okay with you and that you find it useful in some way =P That's great. Any impro...

Rotary Knob - Potentiometer

This is from a question I asked back in 2011, I wanted a rotating knob, instead of a slider, for use in a project and ahklerner came up with a nice one. That post can be found here. At that point I didn't know enough about scripting to figure out how to use it. Looked at it again the other night and...

RemapRange library function

Spawnova created a function for me to convert numbers from one range to another, much like the Range option on the slider and progress bar. x = Number to convert. Can be a variable input such as from a slider or an outside source such as a usb potentiometer. in_min,in_max = Minimum and maximum input...

Re: Ramap a range of numbers Topic is solved

Awesome. Both seem to work great but the second one also allows for remapping the lower number, i.e. 0-360 to -180-180. I will turn this into a library function if you don't mind. Gui, Add, Slider, x5 y5 w100 h25 AltSubmit Range0-360 vs1 gs1, Gui, Add, Edit, x5 y+5 w100 h25 ve1, Gui, Show, , Remap R...

Remap a range of numbers Topic is solved

I'm betting this is documented somewhere but I'm not sure what it would be called so I'm unable to find it. I need to remap an input range 0-360 to an output of 0-100. Much the same as the Range option on a slider. What would be even more helpful is a function to remap any range of number to any oth...

Gdip_RotateBitmap()

I've been stuck on this for a while, it's above my scripting ability. I've been trying to use this GDIP example, from the old forums, to rotate an image. Page is here, Gdip_RotateBitmap() When I call the GDIP Rotate function I get a 0 returned, which I believe is good, but the image does not change....

Re: PotPlayer x64 Function Library

Just a note: As of April 2020, the ahk_class name for PotPlayer is PotPlayer, not PotPlayer64. Your code, as posted, does not work, but works fine by simply changing all occurrences of PotPlayer64 to PotPlayer. I just now got around to downloading the latest version and checking this. I believe you...

Re: PotPlayer x64 Function Library

Not having to give focus back to the PotPlayer to toggle playback is incredibly useful. I work on a Word document to transcribe video, and your script has made my life so much easier. Thank you. You are welcome, I'm glad it has been useful to someone. I use VLC most of the time and only occasionall...

Re: Usb uirt program for hire

I realize this is an old post but if you are still around, and still interested this may help. Back in 2010ish I wrote a function library for the USB UIRT and posted it here . Here is a new download link . No idea if this still works, the changes in AHK over the years has killed most of my scripts f...

Re: MCI library still usable?

Ok, after much searching I found MCI v1.1 and it works. I first found it in an archive, of all the old libraries, on this forum (I think) but I can't find it again. However there is another copy here, https://www.autohotkey.com/joe_df/autohotkey_scripts_archive/rbrtryn_3-04-2014.7z A lot to search t...

Re: MCI library still usable?

I just found this thread. I can use mci functions to play audio on a laptop that used to run Windows 8 but was upgraded to windows 10. Finally getting back to this. I'm not able to get your example to work either. What version of the MCI library are you using? First difference I found is you used "...
