Re: [Concept] Platform for Interative AHK Tutorials

Thanks for the update. I'm still getting the same error popup. The debug server is starting just fine, as it did before actually. But the script does not connect to it. As you can see from the GIF, the debug server is running.

Re: [Concept] Platform for Interative AHK Tutorials

I've got DebugView running, connected to localhost, but I keep getting the "no active debugger" error. Any idea how to make the script see the debugger?
Thanks!
EDIT: Of course I tried without DebugView also.
EDIT: I can also see the AHK_DEBUG_[9 digits] process in the tray, but it doesn't connect.

Re: Learn Autohotkey

I agree with @SOTE and @DRocks. Hellbent/CivReborn videos are very helpful. There's stuff everywhere, really - StackOverflow, SuperUser, many YouTube sites, I like this site quite a bit.

Re: [Concept] Platform for Interative AHK Tutorials

Thanks! Any clue why that "no debugger" message is popping up? The scripts still run, as the GIF shows.
Really a great-looking app, by the way. :bravo:

Re: [Concept] Platform for Interative AHK Tutorials

There is an entry when I open it, as per the GIF below, but it keeps listening (or Resource Monitor says it does).

Re: [Concept] Platform for Interative AHK Tutorials

@GeekDude, it really looks great, and super promising. I have a feeling I may need DebugView, or something similar. I've tried running it before I start the test script, but still get the error below (DebugView is in fact active). I do have DGBp.ahk in my LIB folder. Also, what is "Book.ahk" that's ...

@rommmcek, I think you're right:
So to get IE Zoom you need only: IEZoom := round(100*xdpi/96)

Re: AHK: IE COM_getElementsByTagName Topic is solved

@inseption86, you could try putting the code below at the beginning of your script. It's in the docs here. . It often works. full_command_line := DllCall("GetCommandLine", "str") if not (A_IsAdmin or RegExMatch(full_command_line, " /restart(?!\S)")) { try ; leads to having the script re-launching it...

Re: CustomBoxes: a collection of helper functions

@wolf_II, that's great, thank you! Just for fun, I mangled the test script to show - well - the horizon from horseback? :D (I changed the file paths in it, "HTML Box.html" is in the same folder as the main script, and my #Include has HTML Box.ahk in the same folder also. #Warn #NoEnv #SingleInstance...

Re: AHK RichText Editor

New version, no new functionality, but some cosmetic upgrades (IMHO :)). I can't add any more files to the OP, so the code and GIF are here. PS: the Settings button (wrench picture) doesn't do anything except pull up a message box yet. Probably shouldn't have added it yet. Regards, burque505 Jan-19-...

Re: Cheesy little JS tester (via HTA)

@wolf_II, thank you! I haven't tried running any HTAs on Win10 yet, I'm sure that will come in handy. Regards, burque505 EDIT: Win some, lose some :? I updated to the October 2018 version of Windows 10 Pro, and .hta apps open with no complaint. BUT - can't drag and drop files onto AHK Guis. It doesn...

Re: Cheesy little JS tester (via HTA)

That's Microsoft's "HTML Application" file extension. The Wikipedia link is here. Save this code <HTML> <HEAD> <HTA:APPLICATION ID="HelloExample" BORDER="thick" BORDERSTYLE="complex"/> <TITLE>HTA - Hello World</TITLE> </HEAD> <BODY> <H2>HTA - Hello World</H2> </BODY> </HTML> as yourfilename.hta and ...

Re: Internet Explorer: JavaScript examples

 :headwall: @rommmcek, IWBLearner does in fact do fine, and the error was in MY code, not jeeswg's.
And my error was this: I had both values set to "deviceXDPI" instead of "deviceXDPI" for one and "logicalXDPI" for the other.

Re: Win10 64-bit - drag and drop not working

@gregster, thanks, that looks like a no-nonsense way to test it. EDIT: Must be in my scripts somewhere, that works on one machine. Thanks! EDIT: Your test script works on one machine, but mine don't. On the first Win10 machine, neither work. EDIT: Curioser and curiouser. On one machine (laptop, usin...

Win10 64-bit - drag and drop not working

Hello all, I don't usually have a chance to try my scripts on a Win10 machine. Today I did - none of my scripts that use "GuiDropFiles:" work. Has anyone else experienced this? If so, any workaround? (I'll try it on another machine, of course, but it may be awhile before I get the chance.) Regards, ...

@wolf_II, @gregster, thanks, guys. I appreciate the Win10 info too.
I know there's not much to it, but I thought the concept was worth sharing.

It sort of works :o #NoEnv ; Recommended for performance and compatibility with future AutoHotkey releases. ; #Warn ; Enable warnings to assist with detecting common errors.
