Re: [Library] Chrome.ahk - Automate Google Chrome using native AutoHotkey. No Selenium!

Added this to my local copy of the Chrome class, so tabs can be cycled using a hotkey somewhat like cycling windows using ahk's GroupActivate. For example, you can use this to activate all google docs tabs one by one video: https://streamable.com/sohy5v Chrome.CycleToNextTabMatchingThisDescription("...

Nope, Parse and Stringify methods do the same in both classes.
Good to know, it's definitely noticeably faster on my machine than other methods available.

Re: [Library] Chrome.ahk - Automate Google Chrome using native AutoHotkey. No Selenium!

Class LightJson: teadrinker, thanks for posting this version! If I already am using LightJson, and all I need to do is converting back and forth, is there any benefit of using one of the non-Light versions of your class e.g. posted at https://www.autohotkey.com/boards/viewtopic.php?f=76&t=65631&sta...

Re: [Library] Chrome.ahk - Automate Google Chrome using native AutoHotkey. No Selenium!

I've been running Chrome in debug mode for almost a month now and I don't see any performance-related reasons why I shouldn't just run debug mode all the time, since it feels just as fast as non-debug mode, and the productivity gains from Chrome.ahk is simply too great. If you'd like to run Chrome i...

Compare a web page with its Google Cache version side by side, in 2 iframes

A video demo is here https://streamable.com/w5q5yh Some quick explanations ● We often want to compare 2 tabs side by side, but Chrome (unlike Vivaldi) has no built-in way to do this. ● The next best thing is to use iframes. But many sites will refuse to be shown via iframes by setting the same-origi...

Re: Automatically refresh Inputhook's input collection according to the Length limit.

Would also very much want such a feature (say "Q" option for making L100 set the size of a "first in first out" queue to be 100), not least because the autocomplete Weekday example currently at the bottom of the doc page for InputHook https://www.autohotkey.com/docs/commands/InputHook.htm does *not*...

Is there a performance difference between dynamically and statically created hotkeys/hotstrings POST creation?

From help doc: https://www.autohotkey.com/docs/commands/Hotkey.htm Creating hotkeys via double-colon labels performs better than using the Hotkey command because the hotkeys can all be enabled as a batch when the script starts (rather than one by one) . Therefore, it is best to use this command to c...

Re: [Library] Neutron.ahk - AutoHotkey Web GUIs on Steroids

Wow. Thank you Geekdude. This is going to make my life so much easier. I have a general question about the usage of Neutron, if you don't mind. Basically: when it comes to manipulating HTML DOMs, two methods seem possible: (A) Use Neutron to manipulate the DOM directly. neutron.doc.getElementById("a...

Sample code to hook up autohotkey with AnkiConnect in a non-blocking way

AnkiConnect's website only has example code for python and JS (https://foosoft.net/projects/anki-connect/). Took me some searching and experimenting to finally find a way to send http requests to AnkiConnect that isn't blocking. Figure someone else might find it useful. Below is sample code for crea...

Fast_And_Pleasant_Taskbar_Toggle() - toggle win10 taskbar the way you toggle tabbars in say firefox

(a link to a video can be found at the bottom) This simple function allows you to toggle win10 taskbar in a way that I find extremely pleasant and seamless. The typical way to do this is by defining a hotkey that alternately calls WinHide and WInShow on "ahk_class Shell_TrayWnd". There are 3 problem...

AutoHotkey detects WheelUp/WheelDown everywhere except in Chrome - solution?

Basically, when I try to scroll up/down in most other applications, WheelUp/WheelDown shows up in Key History, but not in Google Chrome. I uploaded a video demonstrating this behavior (https://gfycat.com/ClumsyMemorableBudgie). The window on the left is Sublime Text; Chrome is the maximized window i...

hotstring X (execute) option doesn't work for sending anything containing accents (Autohotkey_L)

Version Number: 1.1.29.01 Problem: when I turn on the X (execute) option, usually I can put "Send ___" immediately after the hotstring with no linebreak & return and have this trigger the execution of a Send command rather than text replacement. However in the case where what is being sent contains ...

a reliable method to get number of chrome tabs (e.g. to prevent closing window on closing last tab)

this is the only method i've found that (i) is consistently reliable and (ii) gives a pretty pleasant user experience (and so is superior to all the chrome extensions i tried, which all involve rather annoying and distracting user experience, e.g. by automatically creating a new empty tab when you c...
