Kill (or Lock) Any Windows Before It Opens

Is there any technique to prevent nag screens from opening even before they appear? I have a considerable batch of programs for future purchase and would like to optimize the trial evaluation time. I know this could be somewhat unfair to developers, but AHK is already able to close most nag screens,...

Re: Disable all keyboard buttons

Oh yes, more emphatic that this is impossible :clap:

ps.: just do not forget to assign screen lock to !F7 so as not to conflict with previously used keys.

Re: Disable all keyboard buttons

Hi, SpeedMaster Your code has been very useful to me and I am trying to make the screen message more emphatic as an OSD text because it was barely visible in certain contexts. Everything worked fine except that the blocked keyboard prompt only appears once, not every click. Could you check what I'm ...

Re: GUI to Replace Windows Status Bar

Only Report, Quote and Accept buttons were showing up for me. After I left and came back, the Edit button appeared and I corrected the image, whose data in th left bottom were incorrect. But I still can not see this "X" button to delete the surplus post. If possible, I ask the adms to delete my seco...

GUI to Replace Windows Status Bar

Hello, I'm trying to get as much vertical space as possible for displaying folders and files in Windows Explorer. Over the years, Microsoft has stacked a number of things around the display area so today you spend more time with clicks and scrollings for displaying items than with effective actions,...

Re: Maximize window on program open Topic is solved

Now, yes, it's what Microsoft should have done decades ago and that probably it will do to justify some chaotic update.

Re: Maximize window on program open Topic is solved

Really, a wonderful job, it works and is very helpful.

But it does have a side effect: if you need to restore the window to a specific size to work with, for example, side by side, they will always maximize it again. At least for me :(

Re: Open Classic Shell's Menu with First Item Selected

Good news (at least for me :bravo: )! I got what I wanted with the script below. Now I just need to click Win and then Enter to turn off the computer, or more easily reach the other shutdown options without affecting other processes. It may be a trivial script or even dirty, but only the noob knows ...

Open Classic Shell's Menu with First Item Selected

How to identify the Classic Shell menu with AutoHotkey so that it opens with the main item already selected (in my case, the turn on/off button)? AutoHotkey does not seem to identify the menu class (ClassicShell.CMenuContainer), nor am I able to use the IfWinNotActive or WinMenuSelectItem methods to...

Re: To Scroll the Bar with Arrow Keys

Win7, UAC disabled, thumbnail view, folder with 45 files, nothing moves, no effect.
Thanks for your contribution, but I am a basic knower of AHK and have many similar applications installed that may be interfering.

Re: To Scroll the Bar with Arrow Keys

Thanks for help, Jeeswg, but I get error message in the line oAcc: = Acc_Get (" Object "," 4 ", 0," ahk_id "hCtl).
I have not found what could be "Object" or "ahk_id" in WinTitle, GetControl or SpyWindow.
Am I looking in the wrong way?

To Scroll the Bar with Arrow Keys

I tried and studied AHK exhaustively, but I confess I gave up and ask for help. I would like to position the cursor on the scroll bar with "Left & Down or Up::", pull it down 1 pixel, and return to the original position in Explorer.exe. That's how far I've come ... But I know it's not the right way,...

Open Url in Player, Toogle Performance Options and Fn Keys

I do not really like games, but as I have not found an area for simple tricks and tips, I'll post it here if it can be useful to someone. 1 - Quickly open videos from a site with an external player to use extra features like synchronization, capture, seek levels, or just improve perfomance. I tested...

Re: Press and Hold Before Colon

I can not spend more than 1 hour/day studying AHK because of my job. And I believe that this is precisely the spirit of a forum: narrow the link between the application and those who can not study it in depth to the point of using other tools. In this way, the information of a targeting link about w...

Re: Do Not Work with Mouse Keyboard Function

Even so, I can use NumpadEnd with NumLock off and Numpad1 with NumLock turned on. AHK works under these two conditions, but not if the mouse keyboard function is on, and this in Windows is enable/disable from the Accessibility Center, with NumLock on/of as the trigger. Maybe the only way to simulate...

Re: Press and Hold Before Colon

It's still giving error ( line: Send_ctrl_d : ) when I repeat the same code for other keys.

Works if the error line is deleted from the second code, but it does not seem to me a consistent solution.

I searched and tried to use multiple keys for a single code, but it also did not work.

Do Not Work with Mouse Keyboard Function

I use the numeric keypad as a mouse to rest my hand, but AHK does not seem to work on the numerical keyboard with NumLock off and the mouse keyboard function active in Windows.

Any way around this?

Re: Press and Hold Before Colon

That's more practical, Rohwedder, thanx. But I can't make it work with $Enter or $NumpadEnter. See:

Code: Select all

$Enter::
	Send_ctrl_d := False
	SetTimer, Send_ctrl_d, -2000
	KeyWait, Enter
	SetTimer, Send_ctrl_d, Off
	If !Send_ctrl_d
		Send, Enter
Return
Send_ctrl_d:
	Send_ctrl_d := True
	Send, ^d
Return
