Re: Assistance with Windows Text via Acc Library Topic is solved

- Try focusing the entire window or the entire control, i.e. the borders are placed around it, and then going down the hierarchy, the hierarchy is relative to the element you focus, it is better if this is a window/control. - If you've focused a subelement rather than a window or control, try addin...

Assistance with Windows Text via Acc Library Topic is solved

Ok, so I have an application that I use at work that has many controls that can't be seen/read by Windows Spy/AHK by default. I've found Acc Library for AHK can read these controls, but only upon mouse-over. Using the AccViewer, I can see the control's child path... and using a couple of the example...

Re: Global variables for coordinates not working with mouse clicks Topic is solved

If you're working with a variable in an expression, you don't enclose it in percents, strings are automatically considered a variable unless they are enclosed in quotes. If you're working with it outside of an expression, you do. TestVar := "Hi" Hi := "Hello" ;Non Expression Example MsgBox, %TestVar...

Re: Help me create my Macro script ( with STEPS and DIAGRAM)

Not real familiar with image searches, but at cursory glance, you need to enclose multiple instructions an "If" statement performs in brackets. Loop { MouseGetPos, mousePosX, mousePosY WinGetPos, , , winSizeX, winSizeY, A ImageSearch, imageLocX, imageLocY, 0, 0, %winSizeX%, %winSizeY%, starve.png if...

Re: Auto use of a hotkey?!

Ok, so I made this as an example. It checks to see if an untitled notepad document window is active ever 300ms, and sends a hotkey (Ctrl+Alt+Numpad0) only once if it is. If it's not active, it sends a different hotkey (Ctrl+Alt+Numpad1) once. Hotkeys are defined below the script. Currently the hotke...

Re: Auto use of a hotkey?!

This is definitely possible in AHK. You'd use a timer (SetTimer and a label) to check the if the window is active (IfWinActive command / WinActive function) every so often, say 300ms - 500ms, and if so to send a hotkey (Send ^!Numpad0 or Send ^!Numpad1) based on the status. You'd need to set a coupl...

Re: AHK Studio

Hi Maestrith. Just downloaded AHK Studio recently and it certainly seems rather impressive, I really enjoy the interface and the featuresit offers. I have one problem though, which is that I can't seem to download any plugins. I'm running Windows 7 and using the latest AHK 1.1.25.01. I tried running...

Re: 2d Array- Out of RAM Topic is solved

If you want to cut the loop short and only read part of the file, you could use a declared finite FileReadLine loop to specify a starting point. Write the last row read to a variable that stays static outside of the loop, and then add the loops highest A_Index during each additional loop.

Re: Endless sleep

I've ran into this before with a proprietary user database application for a helpdesk. A quick suggestion would be to use AU3_Spy to verify if there's any visible text or controls in the proprietary program that is/are different when viewing a record than when not. If found, you could have your scri...

Re: Choose menu option then exit program Topic is solved

WinClose would honestly be the better option, in my opinion. It would be less error prone by all logical accounts. It calls the program to gracefully close without forcefully killing the process. In theory, and I assume in practice, it is effectively the same as sending ^q without sending ^q. From t...

Re: script help please, detect release of button

In your code, after pressing F1 the script will send "1" and then enter a loop of checking the keystate of LButton. If it notices the button is in the "Up" position, it will begin sending "1" indefinitely, as the loop never encounters a breaking point and will only not send "1" if the LButton is in ...

Re: Please help - How to tell AHK to treat symbol as legit character? Topic is solved

I did a quick forum check for hotstring topics and found https://autohotkey.com/boards/viewtopic.php?f=14&t=30463 post where lexikos posted on this exact topic, I believe. Unfortunately, it does not look like this was resolved in that thread. Someone mentioned a link to dynamic hotstring as a final ...

Re: rename files

You could just move the files and rename them during move using the FileMove command. This would have to be accomplished in 3 steps or by creating another directory, though. ;Move first file (normal.file) renamed to normal-1.file.ren. FileMove, C:\Users\jon.rq\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Templates\nor...
