Re: Virus detected when compiling from v1.1.30.00

Hello. I have the same problem with a script compiled to an EXE with Ahk2Exe that is recognised as "Trojan:Win32/Fuery.C!cl" by Windows Defender (no problem with Comodo Antivirus though). This is a little script that allows me to restart Winsdows 10's taskbar when it gets buggy. Process, Close, expl...

Re: Help with code

Hello Jess Und " ExitApp " terminates the script unconditionally. But you don't need to exit the script, it will continue to run in the background, waiting for new keys to be pressed. Small scripts like yours use only a tiny part of your computer memory/processor. By the way, you don't need all thes...

Start VLC minimized Topic is solved

Hello I am currently using this script to read a folder randomly with VLC when I press a special key on my keyboard (I had to compile it as an EXE as Logitech's Setpoint — the program that controls the keyboard — doesn't recognise AHK scripts): run "C:\Program Files\VLC\vlc.exe" "--random" "D:\Musiq...

Re: How to have multiple file extensions in a parameter + minor improvements to my script Topic is solved

I tinkered with the code a bit and got what I wanted. Here is the edited code, that seems to work : #NoEnv #SingleInstance SetWorkingDir %A_ScriptDir% SetBatchLines, -1 ; At end of init set to 0. ; Settings (disabled) ;csv_file := "D:\Vidéos\°Nouveau\°Récent\titres.csv" ; Database with the new file ...

to be clear: you need to save your script as UTF-8 with BOM, please compare https://www.autohotkey.com/docs/FAQ.htm#nonascii
Thanks gregster, it seems to work. I wasn't aware of the difference between UTF-8 and UTF-8 with BOM (and I'm still unsure of it :shifty:)

Re: How to have multiple file extensions in a parameter + minor improvements to my script Topic is solved

Hello braunbaer and thank you for your answer. Unfortunately your script doesn't work, and it has a syntax error line 34 with Match" . I tried different things (Match, Match1, Match2, with or without quotes) to no avail. I think that there is another problem with the encoding of the file: I have acc...

How to have multiple file extensions in a parameter + minor improvements to my script Topic is solved

Hello I found a script to rename batches of files with a CSV file (can't remember where, it was long ago), but I'd like to improve it a bit and I'm afraid that my scripting skills are not sufficient enough: #NoEnv #SingleInstance SetWorkingDir %A_ScriptDir% SetBatchLines, -1 ; At end of init set to ...

Re: Help with configuring AHK

angelical : I think you are using Sleep in the wrong way, the value is not in seconds, but milliseconds (eg. Sleep 1000 => 1 second pause). Also, I read there that in most games, "DirectX(DirectInput) [...] 'polls' the keyboard every 15ms(varies slightly) and records the keys that are down, then 15...

Re: Mouse CoordMode

Hello Willa63 You should try AutoScriptWriter (it was packaged with AHK in its older versions: https://www.autohotkey.com/download/1.0/AutoHotkey104805.zip). It records all your actions (including clicks and mouse positions) and gives a text of this record, that you can save as an .AHK file. After, ...

Re: [SOLVED] Opening music files folder with VLC Topic is solved

I'm the first happy to know it helped you. Btw you also can use arrays. You said you have basically knowledge of programming, well, in ahk, array syntax is the same as in the majority of other languages. Thank you for pointing this, I may use it in the future if I get into more complex things, but ...

Re: Editing the content of the clipboard with a regular expression (RegExReplace & Clipboard) Topic is solved

Hello boiler and thank you for you quick answer. It works for me. You already have "a:1,2,3;b:4,5,6;c:7,8,9;d:1,2,3;e:4,5,6;f:7,8,9" copied to the clipboard when you run the script, right? And when you paste after running the script, what does it show? For me, it pastes "b:4,5,6;d:1,2,3;e:4,5,6". Ye...

Editing the content of the clipboard with a regular expression (RegExReplace & Clipboard) Topic is solved

Hello I am trying to make a script to edit the content of the clipboard with a regular expression. In short, I want to copy "a:1,2,3;b:4,5,6;c:7,8,9;d:1,2,3;e:4,5,6;f:7,8,9" and get "b:4,5,6;d:1,2,3;e:4,5,6" when I paste. I tried using RegExReplace and the Clipboard variable, but I cannot get my scr...

@Bobo: actually, I am not a complete noob and I understood what A_AhkUser wrote. I could adapt quickly his code to have a script playing different folders by pressing Alt+Numpad1, Alt+Numpad2, Alt+Numpad3, etc. VLCPath := "C:\Program Files (x86)\VLC\vlc.exe" folder1 := "C:\Users\Olivier\Music\Electr...

[SOLVED] Opening music files folder with VLC Topic is solved

Hello. I am quite new to AutoHotKey, but I used the macro editor PhraseExpress and have basic knowledge of programming. I already searched this forum and the web, but couldn't find an answer to my question: Is it possible for AutoHotKey to make VLC Broken Link for safety Media Player open a folder f...
