Re: FileReadLine doesn't read anything into variable

Thanks @Just me. First off, you do not reset the variables linecountA and linecountB within the loop. Once set, they will keep their values until a new value will be assigned. That was true. One of my files in group2 was named wrongly. I can't believe I couldn't notice. FileReadLine, lineoutA, %line...

Re: FileReadLine doesn't read anything into variable

Yh I thought as much @just me. I managed to make as many corrections as I can but still FileReadLine fails at times. Most of the times my output file L2 contains duplicate lines, meanwhile the directory lineB keeps changing and in cases where it doesn't, the line number linecountB does. Also, all my...

Re: FileReadLine doesn't read anything into variable

ur script would only ever work if Text5.txt contained a single line(a path to a file) and this file contained at least 1 line in it. Exactly @swagfag, however Text5.txt contains more than one line of directory so like you said, I guess it not going to work. I was hoping to shuffle these directories...

Re: FileReadLine doesn't read anything into variable

Thanks for the response @garry, but the solution isn't quiet what I was looking for. My question actually is; why does FileReadLine not read the first line of the variable vList1 into the variable lineA as it's supposed to, even though vList1 contains text read into it from Text5.txt?

FileReadLine doesn't read anything into variable

So this is how my script looks like m:: FileRead, vList1, C:\Text5.txt FileReadLine, lineA, %vList1%, 1 MsgBox, %lineA% return I have a text file Text5.txt which contains a number of lines. What am looking forward to do is to load it into a the variable vList1 , sort it randomly and retrieve the fir...

Re: Merge groups of text files randomly preserving order Topic is solved

Thanks Boiler, much appreciated. And like you rightly said, there isn't an empty line preceding each output list (ie. Using the hardcoded input files). It turns out the empty lines where in the input files I imported. Thanks.

Re: Merge groups of text files randomly preserving order Topic is solved

Thanks again boiler, I trust if I want to modify it to read from source files and write write to an output file, my previous modification with List1 :="" and List2 :="" at the beginning will do just fine?

Re: Merge groups of text files randomly preserving order Topic is solved

This generates the two matched shuffled lists, which I understand to be file names, so then you can read the text in from the files per the defined order of file names. Text1 = ( T1 House T1 Vehicle T1 Ball T1 Pencil ) Text2 = ( T2 Red T2 Car T2 Big T2 Blunt ) Text3 = ( T3 Tree T3 Cloth T3 Table T3...

Merge groups of text files randomly preserving order Topic is solved

Textgroup_1.PNG Textgroup_2.PNG Hi everyone, so I have two groups of text files (each group having the same number of text files) that I want to merge into two separate files (one for each group) but both merged files should be randomized in the same way ( link-1 ). Merged_files.PNG Also, the order...

Re: Trim multiple regions of an audio file at once

Hallo, with a combination of Autohotkey and Audacity such a thing could probably be realized. https://www.audacityteam.org/download/ Not really :) I think. Audacity doesn't allow you to input time intervals, I think. Moreover, you can't do multiple trim at once. Think some sort of command line codi...

Trim multiple regions of an audio file at once

Am looking for a means of trimming all unwanted sections of an audio file with just a click. There should be a means of inputing time intervals (beginning and ending) for all unwanted sections. Then at the click of a button or press of key, all the sections should be trimmed out leaving the remainin...

Re: Show current brightness percentage Topic is solved

Thanks wolf_II, but it doesn't work. Currently, from windows notification (windows 10), the screen's brightness is 25%, but pressing f1 doesn't show this number. For adjusting the brightness, the script below works fine. class BrightnessSetter { ; qwerty12 - 27/05/17 ; https://github.com/qwerty12/Au...

Re: Show current brightness percentage Topic is solved

Take a look at this post from @wolf_II: https://www.autohotkey.com/boards/viewtopic.php?p=279574#p279574 It seems like a simpler solution. I tried it out but it not quiet what I was looking for. What I actually want is to have a way of knowing the current screen brightness level (what the percentag...

Show current brightness percentage Topic is solved

Hellooo everyone, is there a way to have a hotkey display the current brightness percentage (Windows 10)? I found a script here that helps me adjust the screen's brightness (Windows 10) with the hotkeys ^!PgUp and ^!Left . After adjustment it shows the native window brightness OSD. I'd however wante...

Re: Controlsend, sends "v" before pasting Topic is solved

Thanks for the response AhkStudent. I tried as you suggested... OnClipboardChange: If (WinExist("ahk_class ldoce5UIWindowClass")) { newt:=Clipboard ControlSetText, ldoce5WindowClass1, %newt%, ahk_class ldoce5UIWindowClass } return but nothing at all is sent to the target Focus area. It behaving just...

Controlsend, sends "v" before pasting Topic is solved

Hellooo guys... as the topic suggests, am trying to paste copied text into a textfield of a background dictionary window using ControlSend, ldoce5WindowClass1, ^v{Enter}, ahk_class ldoce5UIWindowClass . It does the pasting correctly when the textfield is empty. Also, if there is text already in the ...
