Re: Highlight a Folder (by Name or Path) in the active Windows 10 Explorer window Topic is solved

Odlanir,
Thank you for the code.
I added; JEE_ExpWinSetFoc(0, "NameOfyourFileOrFolder") to my code (no hotkey)
and the function; JEE_ExpWinSetFoc(hWnd, vName, vByPos:=0, vFlags:=0x1D)
It works exactly as I had hoped.
Thanks again.

Re: Highlight a Folder (by Name or Path) in the active Windows 10 Explorer window Topic is solved

Klarion, Thank you, but I already knew how to make Tigerlily's code work, unfortunately, I want to use the active window not a new one. There are many reasons, including, the active windows set up, screen location, etc. which are being controlled by other programs. Yes, all of these can be redone to...

Re: Highlight a Folder (by Name or Path) in the active Windows 10 Explorer window Topic is solved

Tigerlily, Thanks for the response. I wanted to highlight the folder (filepath) in the ACTIVE (already existing) Explorer window, if possible. Run, % "explorer /select, " filepath ... opens a NEW Explorer window (does NOT use the existing window). If you know how to select the file in the existing E...

Re: How to Determine when Chrome has completed loaded a website using AHK

How about using ImageSearch? When a site has been loaded completely, you can see a cycle. (Which means the page can be re-loaded when clicking on it.) I used that method on my tablet and it worked pretty well. Just in case that you get problems with these libraries. Regards Thank you for your reply...

How to Determine when Chrome has completed loaded a website using AHK

Has anyone come up with code to determine when Chrome has actually finished loading a website using AHK? This has been a problem for years, I have looked at hundreds of answers, none work well, if at all, hopefully someone has an answer. I have tried checking the color of the load icon, but that onl...

Re: How do I send a text Hotkey to a Notepad++ window

Toralf, Unfortunately the hotkey is not just text, the script and text change often, it is long and it is used in several other scripts. Most importantly there must be an easy way to execute a hotkey (text) from another AHK script. I could also make it a function, etc. but I would prefer to somehow ...

How do I send a text Hotkey to a Notepad++ window

I have a text hot key ::qqhdg:: that sends a heading (several lines of text) to the active window. The script I am writing opens a new Notepad++ window and then sends qqhdg space to the new window. The hotkey's text gets sent ok but it does not execute the hot key ::qqhdg:: which would send the head...

Re: Right Click AHK Script's Icon (task bar) > Edit option uses Notepad not Notepad++

Thank you lexikos.
Edit Script option was missing in Explorer.
Removing "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\FileExts\.ahk\UserChoice" solved the edit problem, no other action was necessary.
Right clicking any .ahk file now has the "Edit Script" option.
Thanks Again

Jeeswg, Thank you for your reply. I appreciate your idea of maybe doing a list. What I don't understand is how there isn't a complete list somewhere already otherwise how would AHK and Windows know how to use those commands? One example, Gui,Add,Edit, has dozens of Options, for example; c???, center...

Re: Searching Forum

BoBo, Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately, using google missed 98.4% of the posts in my quick test. Test example, "gui" using the forum's search returns 14,393 posts, using google (site:autohotkey.com "gui" language:en) returns only 231 posts about 1.6%. I was hoping there was a way to use the f...

Garry,
Thank you for your reply.
Yes I have, per my post; "AHK GUI help lists some of the options for some of the commands but not all options available for each command."
I'm hopefull someone will know where to get a more complete list of GUI options.

Searching Forum

How can I search the forum for an exact phrase, example, "gui command list"?
I tried quotes, advanced search, etc. but none return only posts that have the phrase that is inside the quotes.
Thank you for your help.
