Wait for a condition to be true?

I am trying to acchieve a situation where a routine may not interfere but wait for another routine to signal it’s ready (defined atm. in another script). I have myself thought about a possability like this: ; FYI globals Critical and Added are defined in another routine ... Loop ; until Critical is ...

Re: Reading file in order to react

@EvilC: To our discussion about reaction to new input to my logfile (btw. the logfile is ”D:\Main\RyzomII\Ryzom\ryzom_live\save\saija_log.txt”). I have tried to do (in different variations) do as you said however without success. I have added to my main file this sequence as a separate file (called ...

Command xx := A??

I have commands: MainWindow := H SecWindow := S Next command is: MsgBox, 0, Info, Main: %Mainwindow%`nI and Sec: %SecWindow%`n Shows nothing (empty in the messagebox) for both variables (they are earlier defined as globals: global MainWindow and global SecWindow). is there a restart/reset command? Topic is solved

Is there a commmand/commands that will reload the running script meaning that execution of loops are stopped but the script remains running. The command should equal the commands 'ExitApp' +'Load' (the running) script, a kind of 'restart' or 'reset'.

Thanks for your help.

Re: Reading file in order to react

Thank you once again for your kind efforts, EvilC. It seems like you have in some way that remains a mystery to me, have added a class (I believe) with c / c++ code? Still the code uses AHK-code ' := ' and, afaik c-code '==' ? How come both? I must however ask once more for help with the usage. Wher...

Re: Reading file in order to react

Awesome, thank you, will do that as soon as possible, perhaps already tomorrow. At the same time I will (atm only planning to) backup the log file and take a backup of it. The new logfile will of course be considerably shorter.

Re: Reading file in order to react

You are a truly Evil man, EvilC. Thanks for your helpful reply. Do I only have to add all that code that you have written somewhere in my main file? What if (one of) the text(s) I'm expecting, let's say the text 'Belzebub', is found? Or the text 'You die''? I would like to react on those messages by...

searching for text in a fie

Hi everybody, I have stumbled upon an issue where i desperately need some help. I need to find whether a string (for example the string "belzebub") can be found in a fairly big (atm about 20Meg file abc.log) on my disk. I know that the text is, if it is, among the last f.ex. 1000 bytes. No other occ...

Reading file in order to react

Hello folks, I have stumbled upon the following issue: The game sends some of it's info to a log file [filename is like 'mychar.log' ] like f.ex. the info that my char's fight is over. That's why I have decided to check this file every time a fight occcurs (info involving my char ofc) to end my auto...

Hello, OK, thank you both very much. I will test your solution asap. @Rohwedder: Thank you also for your answer to my previous question about aborting a thread in the middle of a loop. What exactly do the tilde and dollarsign (~§) mean and contribute with? I have seen them earlier being mentioned bu...

How to abort a loop with any keypress

I have tried to find out how to abort a loop with (almost) any keypress. Atm. the loop continues until NumLock is pressed but this is too slow, i do not want to start searching for any specific key for my loop to stop. It should stop immidiately whenever anything is pressed. Normally that would be N...

My code needs desperately a MsgBox on my main screen, not on my other screen where it appears now, probably because my desktop is on that screen. I do not even notice the MsgBox where it is now placed while busy ingame. Any help with relocating MsgBoxes would be highly appreciated. Anybody? Thanks. ...

Re: How do i get a window id

Thanks. I have already succeeded in giving my windows their own names. I have spent my days studying - and probably discovering - mysteries like what is ahk_id and what is %x% (the percent sign together with the mystic letter A that seems to refer to a window made the lines extremely hard to read). ...
