Re: If statement returning every line instead of lines where statement is true Topic is solved

@mikeyww Thank you so much! I swear these problems always end up being something my eyes just weren't noticing! I swear I looked over that area a dozen times and didn't notice the syntax error. Thank you thank you thank you :superhappy:

Re: If statement returning every line instead of lines where statement is true Topic is solved

I think the section that is not working is: TCXDINFO: Loop, Read, %LogFile%, %A_ScriptDir%\TCXDINFO.txt If InStr(A_LoopReadLine, "[TCXDINFO]") or InStr(A_LoopReadLine, "-----Card") or (A_LoopReadLine, "Driver:") or InStr(A_LoopReadLine, "Core:") or InStr(A_LoopReadLine, "Config:") or InStr(A_LoopRea...

If statement returning every line instead of lines where statement is true Topic is solved

I've built a log file reader to help read logs generated by my company's software and I'm running into a strange problem that I can't figure out how to fix. I have an if statement in a label called TCXDINFO and it is looking for specific words or phrases in the log file. For whatever reason it is re...

Re: Loops and nested if statements Topic is solved

This looks so much cleaner! I ended up using the full DLL file path in the text file instead of saving the file path in the code and that allowed me to shave off some more lines of code, now it looks like this FileRead, DllList, DLL List.txt Loop, Parse, DllList, `n, `r if !(FileExist(A_LoopField)) ...

Re: Loops and nested if statements Topic is solved

OMG that worked!! Thank you so much, I really appreciate it!
If you find you want it to work faster, I can show you what would change.
Yes please! I want to expand this to an even larger data set and this might get bogged down as it currently is.

Loops and nested if statements Topic is solved

I was hoping to get some assistance in this little program I'm trying to write to save myself some time. What was supposed to be a simple program has eaten away at like 3 hours of my day! What I want it to do: I need this program to look at an existing .txt file with the names of DLL files (about 35...

Re: Accept input in an InputBox without Enter?

You may need to use GuiControlGet https://www.autohotkey.com/docs/commands/GuiControlGet.htm in a loop to see if the input box has changed. Let me write something up real quick to see if I can *In Tim Gun's Voice* make it work.

Re: Zendesk API

Re: Zendesk API

It's funny that you should mention curl as I do have a working curl command line:

curl https://<myCompanyName>.zendesk.com/api/v2/tickets/<theCaseId>.json \-v -u <userName>:<password>

Not sure how to implement this into the script though.

Re: Zendesk API

Thank you so much for your response! I tried both SetRequestHeader and SetCredentials as you suggested and I changed URLDownloadToFile and it's still telling me that it's unable to authenticate me. Double checked the username and password as well as the token, and everything seems right. I feel like...

Zendesk API

Hi again everybody! You all have been super helpful in the past and I usually try as much as I can to figure out the answer before asking for help but this one seemingly goes over my head. I'm trying to write a simple script to pull information from my company's Zendesk ticketing system to quickly d...

Re: Drag a list item to an 'empty' button to 'fill' it

Hellbent Thank you thank you thank you! This works great and there are portions of code that I've not had experience with so it's great seeing new concepts. I did want to see if I can get some clarifications on some parts of the code. For the most part I understand what's going on and the AutoHotKe...

Drag a list item to an 'empty' button to 'fill' it

This is a little bit of a strange request but can someone help me understand how to build a GUI that can take a list of items and allow for those items to be dragged on to a button in the same GUI window to change the button's name? I will try to provide a little more detail below: _________________...

Re: if FileExist with variable Topic is solved

just me Ideally, I'd like for the ComboBox to contain a list of people's names without the .xml so that it looks cleaner. If the ".xml" needs to be added after the ComboBox selection is done, I can make that happen although I've tried the FileExist() function with and without .xml and it's not work...

Re: if FileExist with variable Topic is solved

just me Sorry, I did some testing right before posting and changed the button in the form to gTesting and forgot to change it back to gFileInjection. So does the ComboBox really have to have "Person1.xml" as the input, I can't just make the code work without having the file type as well? I've chang...

Re: if FileExist with variable Topic is solved

Ok, I tried what just me suggested but it didn't work, I will include the full code below because maybe it's something about the order of the functions that I'm doing wrong. Basically I'm making a cheap mans XML generator and I want the FileInjection function to check to see if a file exists so the ...

if FileExist with variable Topic is solved

I'm trying to get FileExist to work with variables and for whatever reason it's not working. Below is a piece of test code, I've got the other code written already for when I can make the function work correctly but for now I just want it to display a MsgBox. Right now I've got a variable named Ment...

Re: ComboBox If Statement

*Bangs head on desk until I pass out* Is this because I needed the Return after the Gui, Show? And the Label doesn't need a return at the end? I'm somehow more confused but also grateful that the code worked while also being skeptical that you might be a witch trying to trick me into giving you my s...

ComboBox If Statement

This is probably something super simple that I am missing, but for whatever reason, when I start this script it will display a blank MsgBox and behind it, it displays the main Gui which works fine after I hit OK on the MsgBox and then select but IDK why the blank MsgBox shows as soon as I run the ap...
