Re: How to create a function without input and output?

I can't say that I really understand the last 2 sentences.
havent looked into AHK too far, for the most part only the normal clöick left mouse and press button H kind of commands.

so can I just use something like this?

copytoclipboard()
{
Sent{Down,strg}
Sent{c]
}

How to create a function without input and output?

in other programming languages, this would be called a procedure. basically a function that does something specific without any input or output. something like this (written inpseudo code) copytoclipboard() { Sent{Down,strg} Sent{c] } just so I can write copytoclipboard instead of writing these 2 se...

longest time a script can run nonstop?

Hi, I wanna do a script that does the following: there is an always open website there on the screen. the script clicks a few buttons, checks how the url has changed (simply be copying the url before and after and comparing) and click some things here in there, with some 20 second delay in between. ...

Re: controlsend not working in game

oh my god, I finally made it work! (At least partially) the whole time I did what was written everywhere. use the windows title, it's ahk_class or it's ahk_exe. but when reading on what wintitle could be, i found something foolproof: PID! the corresponding process' id! sure, I would probably have to...

Re: controlsend not working in game

Did the test, literal nothing happened in all these cases.
as mentioned before, for whatever reason
not even
controlsent, Edit1, {x}, Untitled
does anything when notepad is open.

What am I doing so wrong? :-/

Re: controlsend not working in game

Okay, I just tried using controlsend with notepad, which is recommended around here a lot.
not even that seems to work :-(

I must be doing something fundamentally wrong and don't know what :-(

Re: how to measure time between button down and button up?

My dear friends, I have a question bulding up on the above things: the program works as intended. but it would be even greater if this could work in the background as well. so I wouldn't have to have the window at the front and could rather do other stuff. either the window not having focus or being...

Re: simple for number loop

yeah, you got it. the same concept as if I wanted to go through a 2 layer array like {{1,2}{3,4}} I'll try your concept how it work. and that A_Index always just refers to the current index of the innermost loop? let's say i wanted i and j to go from 100 to 400 instead. sur I could change the things...
