Re: Listen For CursorDown Event - Happy to pay if someone can figure this out!
It would be easier to help you if you shared the code you are using. Can you share what you are working with so far?

Re: PowerPoint Inking Toolbar
UPDATE! The toolbar has been updated to v. 3.0. See the top post for a list of changes. Among major changes, there is now a completely independently customizable second toolbar, and instructions are made available within the script. Thanks to everyone here and in other forums for feedback and user ...

Re: Cursor Highlighter
I'm glad it works out for you! As an aside, there is a tiny bug that I haven't had time to correct yet. When you save the hotkey for "Switch to Cursor Focus", some users get an error message. But even if you get an error message, the hotkey gets saved. If you then just restart the program, the hotke...

@RMWilkinson
I'm glad you find it promising.
What exact hotkey are you trying to set that is not working?
Also, are other changes that you make through the settings saved (i.e., when you change something and restart the script, are the changes still present)?

I'm glad you like it! I'll be happy to add that function to the next version of the script, which should come out in the next few weeks (I hope!)

@carno
Nope, doesn't do anything with the registry at all. In its simplest form, all it does is that it creates a colored window that follows the mouse cursor. All settings are saved in the .ini text file that is created on first use.

Re: PowerPoint Inking Toolbar
UPDATE!
The toolbar has been updated to v. 2.4 and the add-in to v. 1.1. See the top post for a list of changes. Importantly, the add-in should now work with all recent desktop versions of PowerPoint, including PowerPoint 19, 365 and 64bit.

Re: Cursor Highlighter
slaterpress I'm glad you like it! Unfortunately, the Windows menu and the search results don't allow for other windows on top of them. So they don't allow the cursor halo (which is just a colored window that follows the cursor) on top of them. This is the case for every cursor highlighter program t...

Re: Cursor Highlighter
Joe Glines That's great! Indeed, as you saw in Kevin Stratvert's video, this script is mostly aimed at people who have very little AutoHotkey knowledge and who need something usable out-of-the-box and that can be easily customized. The code itself is written as simply as possible: going for clarity...

@Megasoum
Yeah, indeed in the current version the focus function only works on the main monitor. But that has been fixed in the next version that I haven't shared yet as I am still testing it.
Have fun with this!

I'm glad you find it useful and were able to modify it for your needs.
The highlight should work on every monitor. What is not working exactly?

Re: PowerPoint Inking Toolbar
jrleighton Indeed, the add-in is just there to automatically launch the toolbar when you start a slide show (and close it when you quit the slide show) but all it does is to launch the toolbar script file. So you can totally use the toolbar without the add-in just by double-clicking on the .ahk fil...

Re: PowerPoint Inking Toolbar
jrleighton I'm glad you like it! Depending on the version of PowerPoint that you have, the add-in may or may not work correctly once installed. This is because Microsoft recently modified their VBA engine in more recent versions of Microsoft Office and some of the macros involved in the add-in are ...

Re: PowerPoint Inking Toolbar
ptswilson I'm glad that you like it and are able to use it for your online teaching. I understand what you mean. I teach chemistry and the ability to draw straight lines during a slideshow would be great. Unfortunately, this function is not directly possible in PowerPoint. However, there are a coup...

No need to search for the issue, I know how to solve it but I just haven't had time to update the script. As long as your patch works for your needs, you should be good!
Have fun using it!

Re: Cursor Highlighter
jbroceno Sorry for the late reply. I'm glad you like the script! And it's awesome that you were able to fix it for your needs. The remote semester has been very time-consuming and I haven't had a chance to go back and revisit the script. I'll look more into what you wrote when I have more time on m...
