Re: Additional suggestions for “toggle” to “hold” please Topic is solved

Well, been using that 2nd script (with the additional 250ms sleep) for several hours now and works better than any of my previous scripts, listed in my OP. The only time it has gotten stuck thus far, is when there is a cut scene that happens while crouched and character is then in the reverse cycle ...

Re: Additional suggestions for “toggle” to “hold” please Topic is solved

Many thanks, Roh 🧚 I have tried all of them, but the SetKeyDelay failed to work. It is very possibly related to my Win XP 32bit OS or limitations of my AHK version. It is likely several versions out of date (I am on iPad right now), but I have learned not to update programs that work spectacular. An...

UPDATE: Additional suggestions for “toggle” to “hold” please Topic is solved

My prefference nearly 100% of the time is hold for ADS and crouch. However, many games default one or both for toggle only. My current solutions are as follows: XButton1:: Send {esc} KeyWait, XButton1 send {esc} return ————————————————————————- *RButton:: send , z Return *RButton up:: send , z retur...

Re: Mouse Axis to keys

😟 I very much appreciate the effort though 🙂 I sorta understand, but there are cerainly commands that totally escape me. There was no input from mouse ball, so I tried changing the “+” amd “-“ values a few times starting with 50 and stopped trying at 250. For fun, I mapped pitch up / down to “E” and...

Re: Mouse Axis to keys

I tried both of the scripts as written and experimented with text changes where it made sense to me. Looking at it again now, seems it may be a script for the reverse of what I want. I think that person was looking to control the mouse with arrow keys, rather than the other way around 🤔 If there is ...

Re: Mouse Axis to keys

“So, what your saying is...”... lol That is a famous line from Cathy Newman interviewing Jordan Peterson (a great man) and for whatever reason, it crossed my mind when I read you post 😂 OK, looks like the mouse ball is divided into 8 directions, as it is digitally transcribed from analog input. This...

Re: Mouse Axis to keys

Makes sense 😄 OK, I would like to move the mouse as 100% control of airplane orientation and Battlefield 1942 describes this in menu: Pitch up = mouse axis 1 / down arrow Pitch down = mouse axis 1 / up arrow Roll left = mouse axis 0 / left arrow Roll right = mouse axis 0 / right arrow So, when flyin...

Re: Mouse Axis to keys

I found two interesting scripts that I modified in hopes they would work..... fail 🙁 [#Persistent SetTimer, Update, 50 Return Update: MouseGetPos, X, Y If (OldX <> X || OldY <> Y) { MovedX := ((OldX - X) > 0) ? (OldX - X) : -(OldX - X) MovedY := ((OldY - Y) > 0) ? (OldY - Y) : -(OldY - Y) If (OldX >...

Re: Mouse Axis to keys

Thanks, Mikey 🙂, but I don‘t think I thought out my desired goal well 😢 I would like to use the mouse ball to input all manner of steering for airplanes. The only option the game offers is joystick or keyboard (it does not recognize the mouse, so must map keyboard to do all four functions. Left / ri...

Mouse Axis to keys

OK... I decided to go after a resolution for this, as I am down to a single game with joystick and muscle memory is terrible with such infrequent use 😞 In Battlefield 1942, the menu allows “mouse axis o” for up / down & “mouse axis 1” for left / right mapping (game displays that way, but AHK is like...

Re: Delay prior to Exitapp Topic is solved

OK.... so my 1st line could, or should be... WinWait, ahk_exe BF1942.exe ... correct? Oh, well. I may change this going forward, but with well over 1K games on my PC, sure not going to undertake changing them all... lol :morebeard: PS> Would like to just thank you again for your help! Re: Delay prior to Exitapp Topic is solved

lol... wait! :D The #IfWinActive comment is one that I have on literally every single game on my computer and every one uses AHK. That is from the original AHK script I saw from my very first indoctrination when I was researching how to remap keyboard for Deus Ex: The Fall. I wanted to play that gam...

Re: Delay prior to Exitapp Topic is solved

@Mikey.... 8-) :+1:  :-D  This now avoids exit of AHK when swapping maps in menu and screen resolution that would get changed to 800x600 (once returned to Desktop). I no longer have to completely close / restart BF 1942 every time I navigate various settings. Admittedly, this is V...

Delay prior to Exitapp Topic is solved

I just spent 5 min trying to come up with a title that expresses my need and likely why searching for an answer is difficult 😿 Battlefield 1942 will go to blackscreen for a few seconds while navigating menu and both window spy & ahk_exe are not detected, so my Exit app script is activated and AHK cl...

Re: RedRead / RegWrite questions.... Topic is solved

I never really got this going correctly, but figured out how to get the .hiv export / import going and is a perfect solution for my needs.

I appreciate your help Xtra, as you have helped me in the past as well, but I am going to consider this topic closed.

Re: RedRead / RegWrite questions.... Topic is solved

Thanks.. OutputVar is what is throwing me here :( On another forum that led me here, I was given this as a test: --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- RegRead, OutputVar, HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Decane\RC Mini Racers, GAMEDATA_h3530476763 RegWrite, REG_...

RedRead / RegWrite questions.... Topic is solved

Issue: There is a REG_Z value that is too long to be exported via Regedit or CMD. Exporting via .hiv will likely work, but more steps than my current solution and an explanation would be quite wordy. Question: I thought I understand syntax, up until a directory in which to copy or write that registr...

Re: Script to open a folder

EDIT: SPOKE A BIT TOO SOON, AS I AM UNABLE TO OPEN A DIRECTORY WITH AN "&" SYMBOL I thank you both, but flyingDman was the solution that worked for me, after I tweaked the code a bit further :) The following works fine: Run, "C:\WINDOWS\system32\Commandmeister.exe" ;Commandmeister.exe = custom mod ...
