Re: DPI-awareness bug?

Note that DPI scaling will essentially multiply Gui coordinates (xywh) by 1.25 in your case and then drop the fractional part, therefore introducing potential precision loss and oddities regarding separation. There is nothing we can do about that (except maybe rounding instead of truncating, but it ...

Additionally AutoHotkey doesn't support the 'thiscall' calling convention normally used by C++ class methods.

Yeah, I hadn't thought of that. What about TrayMenu, TrayIcon, TrayText? Or even TrayToolTip? It is after all a tooltip that is displayed when the mouse is over the Tray icon.

Re: [Wish] One line while loop (similar to if)

@hoppfrosch: Readability is subjective. I don't think the language should enforce a way of formatting code. IMO one-line While statements are more readable than having to spread them in two lines in many cases. If you don't want to write code like that, then don't. I fail to see why If should get a ...

I currently consider this low priority due to my lack of time to finish it and apparently the lack of demand. Nonetheless I hope to finish it in the future.

Re: Proposed New GUI API for AutoHotkey v2

Not entirely related to the thread but somehow connected, @fincs, are there similar plans for Menus? Indeed is it connected. The logical thing to do is to redesign the Menu system (and make Menus be objects), but that IMO has to wait because the Menu command contains special handling for the Tray i...

Re: [Wish] One line while loop (similar to if)

not sure if this is a joke or not No, it is not a joke. is definitively more unreadable IMHO - I always have to ponder: Is Sleep 10 an argument of wb.Busy? Or is it the body of the while-loop? :crazy: :D Not sure if this is a joke or not. --- I assume people posting in this thread are aware that sa...

Re: [Wish] One line while loop (similar to if)

Claiming that

Code: Select all

while wb.Busy, Sleep 10
is less readable than

Code: Select all

while wb.Busy
    Sleep, 10
is IMO extremely ludicrous.

Re: SciTE4AutoHotkey v3.0.06.01 [Updated October 12 2014]

Does anyone know how to make all words that start with a "$" bold and a different color? It is not possible, sorry. The lexer has no concept of a separate class of identifiers that start with $ . When I right click a tab and click Open Containing Folder it doesn't work, does anyone know how to fix?...

I use TDM-GCC. The 'normal' one just loves to link in dependencies to all sorts of hefty runtime DLLs.

Re: Run code when window appear or resizes

As guest3456 said, this can be implemented easily in script:

Code: Select all

#Persistent
DllCall("RegisterShellHookWindow", "ptr", A_ScriptHwnd)
OnMessage(DllCall("RegisterWindowMessage", "str", "SHELLHOOK"), "MyShellHook")

MyShellHook(eventType, argument)
{
    return 0
}

He meant that during some internal refactoring, he broke the code that produces OnMessage's return value.
