Re: How to assign PF13 thru PF24 as Shift+PF1-12?

If you try:
F13::F1
do you get the AS/400 help screen when you press F13 in your emulator?
If not, try all the sendmodes (SendMode, Input, , Raw, , Play, etc)

Also try #UseHook and running your script as administrator

Here are some example scripts using the library, if anyone has the original examples from the old forum please let me know Raw text to multiple pages: Text2Pdf(A_ScriptFullPath) Return Text2Pdf(filename,target="") { SplitPath, fileName, fileNameNoPath, targetDir,,noExt Fileread, text, %filename% rem...

Re: Is there any good alternative for script Pre-Edition for AHK?

The static only serves to keep the expression from resolving on each call, so in theory there is only a time savings by using it, why would you need it in this case?

You're welcome... it was the last library keeping me on the ansi version for a few projects

Still to do: compile latest version of the dll, v2.3.0, with no dependencies on msvcrt0 or libpng dlls, then get it working with MemoryLibrary

[stdlib] Wrapper for libHaru (creates PDFs) - now with Unicode 32 and 64-bit support

Hey all, Many thanks to the libHaru authors and Thrawn for the original wrapper [here: https://autohotkey.com/board/topic/40659-wrapper-for-libharu-creates-pdfs-stdlib-r1-2009-05-11/], I have made minimal changes to allow support from all versions of AutoHotkey, Unicode 32-bit, Unicode 64-bit, and A...

Re: Protecting AHK code against piracy

If you wish to protect data in the source, just use MCode, which is a solid but still not bulletproof approach. So obfuscation is actually your best bet,by virtue of few if any having the motivation & desire to go through designer spaghetti code, which obfuscated code basically is. Any advice on where...

[function set] write/read registry settings for Standard/Current User, or other specific user, when elevation is needed

Not sure the best way to wrap this into a nice stdlib function/library, RegWriteStandardUser() seems too specific but likely the most used... but basically, as shown in the example below, using the following four functions I was finally able to change some registry settings that are in HKey_Current_...

Yeah also on simplicity desktop, it logs me out for the currently open tab only after posting, ie if I open new pages from a separate older tab, I'll still be logged in in those
Same thing here in the past few days, in Firefox and in Chrome

FileCreateShortcut bug

noticed what I think is a bug: FileCreateShortcut, "S:\IT - Software\Tools\AppName.exe", %A_ProgramsCommon%\AppName\Update now.lnk S:\ is a mapped network drive. Non-admin user needs elevation to create the shortcut, which means S:\ mapped drive no longer exists. Created shortcut path is: S:\IT_-_So...

Re: ListView property for "Rows of Height"?

Try a creative use of:
https://autohotkey.com/boards/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=42570
Something like:
Get height of listview for an estimate, start with that estimate, get approximate rect, and compare

Increase or decrease that estimate and try again as needed

Something like this? works on windows 7, fails on XP (getting SID misses the last "-1004" for example) If not A_IsAdmin { Run *RunAs "%A_ScriptFullPath%" ExitApp } dlw1 := RegReadUser(GetStandardUser(), "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System", "DisableLockWorkst...

Re: Automating Excel from a scheduled task when NOT logged into Windows?

The problem is likely with excel and not ahk:

https://stackoverflow.com/questions/423 ... r-logs-off

For what its worth, a service is possible with ahk, but not needed with task scheduler tasks

Re: How to RegWrite a "current user" registry setting for unelevated user

So I added a break to the loop after first Username is found, tested on two systems they both seem to return the "standard user" i want from the elevated process first, before a secondary logon name, so maybe this works. I can't find any documentation or posts about the order in which sessions are e...

Re: How to RegWrite a "current user" registry setting for unelevated user

I will once i'm sure I can get the actual logged in current standard user

the getting of Sid seems pretty solid, not sure what else its useful for

If this is really the only way it might be useful to wrap it into RegWriteStandardUser()

Re: Coding with Ansi & Unicode compatibility question Topic is solved

Thanks for the explanation. That all makes sense, I guess lstrcpy and lstrlen fall into this category: - Other times the situation is slightly different. One possibility is that you have Func (ANSI) and FuncW (Unicode). And specifying Func when using AHK Unicode will give you the wrong answer, altho...

Coding with Ansi & Unicode compatibility question Topic is solved

Hey all, After getting the libHaru library to work with unicode, i'm finally able to switch one of my programs to U32, and merge it with another that already required unicode. So i've been tackling a couple other functions to get them to work with all versions, A|U32|64 Started with it working in an...

True, it does seem to work, but i want to find the proper way and i've not seen it done like this elsewhere

Edit: actually it fails when another user is logged in, don't know how to differentiate the user sessions

How to RegWrite a "current user" registry setting for unelevated user

Hey all... In learning the ins and outs of needing administrator privileges and using uac, I've run into a problem that I assume has an easy solution but I have only been able to kludge a workaround: How to write a registry setting for a standard user, not the elevated/admin user, when admin privile...
