LV_ADD not refereshing on second pass

I'm at my witt's end trying to figure out why the LV_Add (lines 104 to 112) works fine the first time through but when I press "submit" a second time it deletes the listview but does not refresh it with the new data. I've inserted a messagebox showing the data is there and, when looking at it from O...

Re: ADO / Database advice for AHK

So after hours upon hours of playing I was able to get the text driver to open a UTF-8 file using a schema.ini file and tweaking the connection string. I also configured it to open a tab delimited file with a .tsv extension (I would not have thought that would have been difficult but only specific e...

Copy/Paste Text & Files between computers

After years of leveraging the forum to my benefit, I finally have something I feel is worthy of giving back! The script below allows you to copy / paste between computers. Computers have to have a shared folder (use DropBox, GoogleDrive, network drive, etc). Run the program from each computer in the...

Re: [Func] ADOSQL - wraps ADO for executing SQL queries (AHK

That will take care of having spaces in the directory however it will still break if the file name itself has a space in it. Anyway I've figured out how to wrap the path & file name to import correctly. I've also figured out how create a Schema.ini file to import tab delimited files however it looks...

Re: [Func] ADOSQL - wraps ADO for executing SQL queries (AHK

So I did some digging and found this link which seemed (somewhat) related. After playing around I got the following to work. File:="[D:\my test\sec level]\[my email.csv]" MsgBox % Clipboard:=ADOSQL( connection_string ";coldelim= `t", " ( SELECT distinct EMAIL,STAKEHOLDER_NUM,COUNTRY FROM " . File . ...

Re: [Func] ADOSQL - wraps ADO for executing SQL queries (AHK

VxE, I'm leveraging your code to import, apply a filter, and save and am having a problem getting the path to the CSV file I'm opening to work. When place the CSV file in the same folder as the script and then reference as you do in your example FROM products.csv everything works fine. I'm planning ...

Re: [Func] ADOSQL - wraps ADO for executing SQL queries (AHK

Thanks for pointing out the setbatch lines will not affect it. Yes, I understand like commands take a while to execute, I was just wondering if there was a way to speed up anything. While installing mySQL is an option for me (which I still might do for my own benefit) trying to get my colleagues to ...

Re: ADO / Database advice for AHK

Thanks! This is the actual post I'd reviewed a while ago that made me realize I could perform sql queries on text files. :) I was just curious if there was a "better" approach. One reason is that I tested this script by searching through ~100K records. While the timing wasn't bad, I often work with ...

Re: [Func] ADOSQL - wraps ADO for executing SQL queries (AHK

Thanks for the link! I'd stumbled upon this one earlier and played with it. (which is what made me realize this was possible in the first place) I was just hoping to find one that had a clearer look at what was going on (and not necessarily needing the library file). I think I will use it as my temp...

ADO / Database advice for AHK

I work a lot with CSV files and was going to write a script that opened, manipulated, deduped, etc. files (both for me and colleagues) when I realized that I could use Microsoft's ADO to handle much of the heavy lifting. I know virtually nothing about ADO however, from my testing, it seems most Win 7...

Re: Hotkey chosen by user and saved in ini file

I was writing to ini files however it should be pretty easy to adapt them to write to the regsitry. (I've only played with 1 script doing so as, to me, I don't want to worry about messing up someone else's computer)

I did some searching and found this example utilizing the function you provided.

Apparently it goes back to Jballi on this post

Hotkey chosen by user and saved in ini file

I would like to be able to ask users what hotkey they want to associate to a given task, save it to an ini file, and then use what they saved in future scripts. Ideally I'd like to make it as simple as possible for people that are not typical AutoHotKey users. I think creating a gui with radio butto...

Re: Scrape Elements on Site and Save to Text File

Very cool! I've learned all my OOP / DOM from reading posts in the forum thus I'm not aware of things that many people that actually build pages are. Somehow through all my readings I'd missed this little bit about Tables / rows, etc. I reviewed it as well as other table properties and can definitel...

Re: Scrape Elements on Site and Save to Text File

Blackholyman, I'm studying your code to try and improve my web-scraping capabilities and I'm puzzled on where the .rows part of your code came from table := doc.getElementById("biwtable") rows := table.rows spans := rows[0].getElementsByTagName("span") When I use iWB2 Learner as well as IE's built i...

Re: Scrape Elements on Site and Save to Text File

Google maps kept stripping the last backslash from the URL and, since your instr command was looking for it, the code would not work. This takes care of it

Code: Select all

if !instr(wb.LocationURL, "https://www.google.com/maps")
