Re: Creating a script in AHK that will switch monitor

this basic toggle seems to work for me ChromeID := "ahk_id " WinExist( "ahk_class Chrome_WidgetWin_1" ) #b:: if ( i:=!i ) { WinGetPos, WinX, WinY, WinW, WinH, % ChromeID WinMove, % ChromeID,, % (A_ScreenWidth+10), 10 ; assumes extended monitor is on the right. Re: ternary

Im parsing a csv file. And it contains up to 32 columns, I only need some of the columns. If I use arrays with that much fields does it perform faster than loop,parse ? I haven't bench marked performance when reading CSV's, so its really hard to say. However, with regards to whether or not to use r...

Re: ternary

no real performance benefit no, but based on your example you really only need to assign keys to the variables: item := [ "red", "long", "heavy" ] color := item[ 1 ], lenght := item[ 2 ], weight := item[ 3 ] msgbox % "color: " color "`nlenght: " lenght "`nweight: " weight so instead of parsing a str...

Re: Ahk1.1+ User list & controls using COM, WMI, and Array

small example to get the user list?? Loop % ( homedrive "\Users\*.*", UserList:="" ), 2 { if !( A_LoopFileName ~= "i)All|Default|Public" ) { UserList .= A_LoopFileName (r:="`r`n") } } msgbox % RTrim(UserList, r) obv it can be inserted into an array if this is what you're after.. edit: this depreciat...

Re: making F1 less finnicky

this would probably be the easiest approach:

Code: Select all

F1 & 1::
F1 & F2::
F1 & ESC::
Return

F1::Msgbox Action!
ESC::ExitApp	; <-- Press escape to exit.

Re: Concatenate strings and pass it to function in same loop

Well, not quite what i was looking for. you asked if it was possible to concatenation within a function, I wanted to show an example of the string being populated. Hence the reason for my `in function` messagebox. for i, array in [ "dog", "cat", "fish", "bird" ] { list := func( array ) } msgbox % l...

Re: Ahk1.1+ User list & controls using COM, WMI, and Array

not sure about listing the users, there may be another class or even com interface for this, but this cleans up your code and simplifies the WMI call: PropertyList := [ "Caption", "AccountType", "Description", "Disabled", "Domain", "FullName" , "InstallDate", "LocalAccount", "Lockout", "Name", "Pass...

Re: Concatenate strings and pass it to function in same loop

To "remember" values when calling a function, assign a static variable inside the function: for i, array in [ "dog", "cat", "fish", "bird" ] { func( array ) } func( val ) { static items ; <<< initialize `items` as a static variable items .= val "`n" ; <<< add/concatenate values to items variable msg...
