Re: Socket.ahk

I'm not sure what you intended to imply with that emoji (smilie?), but I wanted to make it clear that I answer questions when I have the time and the answer regardless of where I see them. I don't have good answers for anyone in this thread, nor have I had much time until recently. After the school ...

Re: [Library] Chrome.ahk - Automate Google Chrome using native AutoHotkey. No Selenium!

Hi GeekDude, Hi Joe! First, I want to thank you for this library...great stuff! You're welcome! I'm hoping that you can help me with a problem. I used your ExportPDF.ahk example to create this function (so that I can use it easily and often in scripts going forward): ... Here's the problem. Using C...

There aren't any settings for that currently, however it would be a possibility for future releases. Shouldn't be too difficult to implement.

Re: [Library] Neutron.ahk - AutoHotkey Web GUIs on Steroids

Will there be an option to use the full-blown JS 'wording'/terms ('querySelectorAll' vs 'qsa') instead of an 'every developers wet dream - spare as much chars as possible'-attempt? Like we all know from command line tools /c vs /close, /k vs /kiosk, /s vs /superduperlongparamname ... ?!! I found my...

Re: [Editor] CodeQuickTester - Write and run code without saving to a temporary file

Made a few changes to continuation sections, to allow users to specify the language/highlighter to be used inside. Supported languages include AHK, CSS, JS, and HTML. If an appropriate language-specifying comment is omitted, it defaults to "string" formatting, which is that desaturated reddish color...

Re: [Library] Chrome.ahk - Automate Google Chrome using native AutoHotkey. No Selenium!

All requests from AHK to Chrome (or in this case, FF) have to go through a websocket connection. AHK doesn't have websockets natively so I borrowed the websocket support from IE/ActiveX. It's a cheap trick, and has been causing me no end of issues, but it works.

I can't stay long, but I thought some of you may be interested in a method for generalizing Chrome.ahk for use with Firefox. This will ONLY work for Firefox Nightly builds. If you don't want to install Nightly you can grab a portable copy here: https://portableapps.com/apps/internet/firefox-portable...

Re: Paranoia: Compromised Password?

To quote myself from Reddit, I'm skeptical anything was stored in plain text even then. Looking at the leak these are all really weak passwords. Some information: 5043/10921 (46%) appear on the "1,000,000 most common passwords" list Average length is is 8.0 (StdDev 1.8) The 4th longest (16 chars) is...

Re: GeekDude's Volume Script - Set per-application volume levels

New version! Updated to work better with multiprocess applications like Chrome and Firefox. It also calculates window position better now for display of the custom slider during per-application volume adjustment. See the download link in the OP for the new code and revision history.

Re: [Concept] Platform for Interative AHK Tutorials

I've got DebugView running, connected to localhost, but I keep getting the "no active debugger" error. Any idea how to make the script see the debugger? Thanks! EDIT: Of course I tried without DebugView also. EDIT: I can also see the AHK_DEBUG_[9 digits] process in the tray, but it doesn't connect....

Re: [Concept] Platform for Interative AHK Tutorials

The base script starts a debugging server so that it can run the code step by step and do variable inspection. When the code can't connect to the debugger it will still run, but the UI on the tutorial page will be disabled and the code won't run step by step. Also, thanks for the praise! Edit: gif f...

Re: [Concept] Platform for Interative AHK Tutorials

Hmm, I've had it happen before that the main script closed but then the process stuck around using the port with no tray icon and no effect on SingleInstance . You might need to close the process using the port manually with task manager. I'll make a note to add code that looks for these hung copies...

[Concept] Platform for Interative AHK Tutorials

I've been working on this script concept for a while now and, while it's not anywhere near ready for a full release, I have decided that I need some feedback on its operations. If anyone could give it a try and give some constructive criticisms and suggestions for improvement that would be fantastic...
