[Solved] Parsing multiple lines

Hi there, I'm looking for some hints concerning parsing files. Example file: A B C # D E F # The file consists of datasets with multiple entries. Each dataset is finished with a defined separator (# in the example above). My question: I want to parse the file from dataset to dataset. Each dataset sh...

Re: [Wish] One line while loop (similar to if)

@hoppfrosch: Readability is subjective. I don't think the language should enforce a way of formatting code. IMO one-line While statements are more readable than having to spread them in two lines in many cases. If you don't want to write code like that, then don't. I fail to see why If should get a...

Re: [Wish] One line while loop (similar to if)

Yes, I am. But - though not quite sure - I never used this construct, and - quite sure - I never missed it in expressional Ifs. Same here - I even stricty avoid using them ... ...is definitively more unreadable IMHO - I always have to ponder: Is Sleep 10 an argument of wb.Busy? Or is it the body of...

Re: [Wish] One line while loop (similar to if)

Code: Select all

while wb.Busy, Sleep 10
is definitively more unreadable IMHO - I always have to ponder: Is Sleep 10 an argument of wb.Busy? Or is it the body of the while-loop? :D

Re: Who's who?

Nobody really knows where Polyethene has gone - he simply abandoned autohotkey.com without handing over the domain. So let's say it other way round: autohotkey.com is for sure "not the place to be" - unless there is still considerable activity there ... But since all new autohotkey versions are disc...

Re: GoToTilla

I made quite a simple expansion to this script to list properties from AHK-classes (available since AHK 1.1.16.0) as well. I simply cloned the parsing mechanism of functions and adapted the dedicated regex ... (also did some code reformatting to make it more readable) Here it goes: 7252aa92d4408fae8...

Re: Problems with WinSet/WinGet

BtW:

Code: Select all

hwnd := this._hwnd
WinGet, st, Style, ahk_id %hwnd%
Is it possible to avoid the temporary variable hwnd and use this._hwnd directly within WinGet?

[Solved] Mixing Metafunctions with property functionality

I'm trying to upgrade some of my classes to the newly introduced properties from AutoHotkey 1.1.16.x During transition phase I want to use the Metafunctions __Get()/__Set() in conjunction with properties. This mixup does NOT seem to work. This works: c := new MyClass() c.MyP1 := 7 MsgBox % c.MyP1 cl...

As long there's something on your mind - even it's nothing - it might be worth being posted here. As the title of the thread is "What's on your mind?" even a post containing "Nothing" might be inspiring ... ;-)
