Re: Best approach to have a compiled file up to date

Hi, I have this so far : #NoEnv #SingleInstance force #NoTrayIcon SetWorkingDIR %A_ScriptDir% VERSION:=20161103.2 If A_IsCompiled { SplitPath, A_ScriptFullPath, name, dir, , name_no_ext, FileRead, File_AHK, % name_no_ext . Re: Show WiFi password

Hi,
If I may a suggestion:
Don't use FileDelete, %TEMP%\*.xml
What is in the TEMP folder there is some xml files from another app!?

Maybe better to have the result in a msgbox or better in an edit box so the copy of the informations can be copied easier.

Re: Best approach to have a compiled file up to date

Now it's clearer. But this is not what I need. Because if I change my ahk script the same day than earlier compiled script (or before a new version of AutoHotkey), the compiled file will not update. This is why I thought doing like you but that get_MostRecentVersion get the version from the ahk file.

Re: Best approach to have a compiled file up to date

So a comparison of a variable with the version number from the 2 files, right?

Sorry for the asking again, but my English is not my strong side ;)

Also, it's possible to recompile a running file, and rerun it again? Or there is another way to do it?

Best approach to have a compiled file up to date

Hi, I would like to have your thoughts about the best approach to have an compiled file always up to date regarding the .ahk. I thought something like: -Check if it's compiled ; if yes -check if the ahk file has the "A" attribute ; if yes -recompile the file and restart it. -erase the "A" attribute ...

Re: Truncate String

Cool.
If I may some suggestions for having this a little more complete (at least for me):
-Add to not have the dots (...)
-Add to extract the Nth word (for example word #2 from left or right)
What do you think?

@Irbis
The use of an AHK script ;)
So you can see the source. And also portable.

@stealzy
too bad that the result is not in an AHK window :think:

Re: Turn Network device on/off by application

Well I didn't saw the icon because at the first launch the script is paused.
For me the over icon is always blank. No informations.
Also when I do a "restart script" ; I have this error:
Error: Failed attempt to launch program or document:
---> 328: Run,*RunAs "%A_ScriptFullPath%"
