Re: AHK - WMI - Snippets

@jNizM The WMI function works waaay better than the API function. Most of the values for the APi function are incorrect or incomplete. The only one of the WMI function above that doesn't work is the DHCPEnabled. (objItem.DHCPEnabled[0] ? "No" : "Yes") Reading the MSDN docs : DHCPEnabled Data type: b...

Re: AHK - WMI - Snippets

doh! Okay, now I feel like I don't get enough sleep. Thanks, jNizM. Alright, so with that, I can fetch most of the information. However, PrimaryWinsServer returns a blank, and SecondaryWinsserver returns 255.255.255. In my ipconfig report for that adapter I see both WINS Servers. HaveWins returns th...

Re: AHK - WMI - Snippets

jNizM Can you help me out a little? Say I want to access a setting, such as DHCPenabled on the active NIC. I know the function returns values for all NICS (it sports 3 when I run it on my computer - my network, teamviewer and vmware). Let's say I just want to fetch values from the primary NIC. I'm ...

Re: FileSystemClearAllCaches

Where do I find the GetCurrentProcess() function? Or isn't that supposed to be in quotes without the parentheses at the end?

Re: CherryTree as Snippet Keeper

I'm still using CodeBank . Here is a copy I have on my GoogleDrive, since I don't think the original site exists anymore. It doesn't support ahk syntax either - I've been using the javascript syntax just to have *some* highlighting, but it is the best snippet-keeper I've known and I've never found a...

Re: QuickTextMenu() Text-inserting menus

Someone did write a program like this in ahk - called AXchar. http://www.vulpeculox.net/ax/ He actually wrote it in both javasript and ahk. You can get the source from his webpage; I've been using it for years to insert accents for Latin. Maybe AX is a bit different though - you set a hotkey and whe...

Re: CherryTree as Snippet Keeper

I've always had that feeling about Java desktop applications, too. Never felt quite right. Or "metro" enforced apps on Windows 7 which won't allow the system's scheme.

Re: Cookie Clicker v1.2

I'm sorry for you that you started playing that. hahahahha I tried with an ahk script, but had better luck with a greasemonkey script (runs in the browser without focus). Now, I didn't write this, but here is the script, and here is the source . // ==UserScript== // @name Cookie Clicker Cheats // @n...

Re: CherryTree as Snippet Keeper

oldbrother Say, tell me how you are using it and why you like it so much. I find it interesting, but there is a feeling of "unconventional-ness" about it that I find uncomfortable. Here are a few things I don't like: 1. Why does anybody need a full always-available menu for import? That should be i...

@oldbrother Thanks for the syntax scheme. How do you like CherryTree as a snippet-keeper?

@Sam Did you try my fix just above yours? I had come to the same conclusion about the error in StringToNumber. I would be interested to see if it works out for you.

Re: SavePictureAs - (Save Image/Picture)

Yeah, I wondered about that, too. There's no way to know without doing some advanced analysis of the data arrangement after the file is gotten. You know what I mean - sometimes a certain bit order denotes what kind of file it is even if the extension is wrong. I'm not asking you to do *that* however...

Re: SavePictureAs - (Save Image/Picture)

@DataLife Thunderbird is the Mozilla mail client - it uses the same engines as Firefox beneath, though. I'm pretty sure that SPA is choosing "save" and not "save as". If I save the image myself, it also saves as .htm. This doesn't happen on all images, just some of them. So I manually "save as" and ...

Re: SavePictureAs - (Save Image/Picture)

I'm still using this script! I like it quite abit. Sometime it misses and fails to save, but most of the time it works great. Sometimes when I try to save images out of thunderbird, it tries to save the image as "mail.htm" and then tells me "This is not an savable picture". So then I have to go and ...
