Re: Fire g-label when click an Edit control

Here is a way to do what I wanted. Now it is unbelievable crazy hard to condition the ternary operator within the loop to break off row after six buttons and begin a new row with six buttons and so on until all 24 are consumed. Also there is some peculiar focus stealing going on. EDIT: Now its perfe...

Re: Fire g-label when click an Edit control

Fire g-label when click an Edit control

Hi! Have been looking around how to do this, but no useful finds so far. When setting the marker inside the Hour edit control should open up a new gui with buttons for every hour of the day. When a gui2 button is pressed it sets the hour in gui1 edit control. The latter part is no problem, but how w...

Re: Shell hook handling (not really a bug)

There are other reasons too. The AHK dragons wants to keep the bug section "clean as a whistle", but it is overrunned by the questions/bring it to attention type of cases from new users with nothing but good intentions, which unfortunately deflects attention from the actual bugs and the frustration ...

Re: Shell hook handling (not really a bug)

Jeez, sorry I said anything. The treatment gets rough cuz what you think is a bug can also be seen as questioning of the AHK developer. If you are sensitive and want to avoid this kind of treatment, I suggest first asking about it in the "Ask For Help" section. After confirmation its a bug then pos...

Re: [COM] Help with the IDropSource and IDropTarget interfaces

Maybe you could explain in more detail why it is not possible to put the thumbnails and icons inside the bluish drag-image? Because the shell will use either the bluish default drag image or the passed drag image. It should be possible to combine them, but the shell simply doesn't. If you want to h...

Re: Hard Nuts/Extreme Challenges

I think unresolved issues deserves its own section with categories (if they are many), cuz in that case its a section full of challenges for those who already are into AHK and "publicity" to other language programmers that might sit on the key to solutions (which increases the chance they might be d...

Hard Nuts/Extreme Challenges

Hi! I think it would be beneficial for AHK having a forum section (highly moderated) where unsolved problems are collected. Right now these are drowning in the vast flood of the "usual easy stuff", "quite easy to solve stuff" and "stuff that already has been solved in hundreds of different ways". Su...

Re: [COM] Help with the IDropSource and IDropTarget interfaces

I tried to use the same code to drag-and-drop to an external program, namely the very small program spek.exe, but it didn't work. In case it's possible to fix this script, and drag-and-drop to external programs using AutoHotkeyMini.dll. Yes, getting that to work would be amazing. Maybe you could ex...

Re: Will the developement of AHK v2 be continued ...

nah...forget about enforcing answers when there is no monetary investment done. It just doesnt work that way if you are doing things as a hobby and on your spare time. That goes for lexikos and HotKeyIt as well. Progress comes when motivation is high..simple as that. It is just as hard getting these...

Re: Will the developement of AHK v2 be continued ...

"Why don't you continue ..." is not an answer to my question. Also, especially you should know that I'm not able to do it. Yes, im aware of your feelings on the subject and the only person abled to answer your question is lexikos himself of course. I dont know what the silence of lexikos stands for...

Re: Will the developement of AHK v2 be continued ...

Why dont you continue it if you are unhappy with the timeline/progress ;) You are more than qualified to do so and have the time. Right now I suspect lexikos wouldnt mind very much, since his motivation seem to be all time low (or other stuff has happened in his life that makes continued development...

Aviod trigger OnMouseLeave when Gui Menu shows

Wondering if it might be possible to somehow aviod triggering OnMouseLeave when Gui Menu (with tooltips) is activated? In other words treating the menu as part of the Gui with msg "Mouse entered gui" and when mouse leaves gui and menu (+tooltips) triggers "Mouse left gui". This is a combo script of ...

Gui TAB x close like browser tab

I was playing around with Chris icons on tabs script, thinking it might be possible to mimic the browser tabs "close" behaviour. A visible x which on mouseover changes to a round white x inside a red ball (chrome) and if clicked closes that tab. This plan crasched pretty fast when the Tab2 g-label s...

Re: show separate Gui on each tab

Hello just me, Hi zcooler, a Gui containing a Gui containing a Tab containing a Gui :?: Why do you need that? Gui1 is the medialauncher and the Gui2 (The Series backup tool) containing a Tab is docked to Gui1 . Gui3 is the Copy/Move ListView which are filled and spawned when clicking the launch butt...

show separate Gui on each tab

Hi. Now it got too tricky for me, so I have to ask you professionals how to handle it. Im trying to show a gui on "Flik2" (which is disabled upon clicks) simply by clicking the button on "Flik1", but that wont work of course, cuz the Tab2 command is already executed when showing Gui2 and Gui, Tab, 2...

SHFileOperation -> IFileOperation conversion?

Hello! Im using this external version of the SHFileOperation (written by just me) in order to keep my GUI operational during file moves/copy of very large files, which has been working nicely up to now. Lately I have come across some issues with it (or rather more correct a lacking of feature). I do...
