Re: Suggestions on documentation improvements

I'm still very unhappy about the chm implemented in 2.7+, it just feels and looks bad, I'm sorry. And the dark theme is just an inverted scheme, text looks so gross. But something that might help ease the pain: 1) restrict CTRL+F to the page area only. Find a way to exclude it from looking in the si...

« What's on your mind? » At this, he took up with his eyes his son, whose face still resembled his mother, looked very dazed and had an expression of terror, and looked at us again. « What are you doing? » « I don't know if I can come to understand it, but I just had a dream, and I want you to help...

Re: [GAME] REGEX FROGGER

DUDE you have to build Pong, like totally. You know what I think is amazing? I'm pretty sure AHK was originally a hotkey mapper... for video games. And years later, people are building actual games in AHK. That's mind-blowing! *fireworks blowing out of my head, catching my shirt on fire* fireworks?...

Re: New forum sections proposal.

I moved a few from Offtopic -> General, all those were on page 1. since they were on page 1 I decided to leave a shadow/redirect in Offtopic. I'll do more later, they probably won't get the redirect treatment since they are already fairly hidden.

"seems like they would then choose something under AutoHotkey (from the Board Index), and be more specific" and what if that thing isn't a script, ask for help, bug report, etc? but you know, like: webinars ... not listing them all again. as shown in the spoilers here: https://www.autohotkey.com/boa...

Not sure where the general ahk goes? is it just General -> AutoHotkey ? I'm confused
it could be in the AHK section with a name like "General Discussion"
or it could be put in the General section (where Offtopic is) and named "AutoHotkey Discussion"

Re: New forum sections proposal.

unfortunately I have very little (basically none, been over a decade) phpbb backend experience. I'd rather someone who knows handle the setup.
I like #1 best, because KOTH reference :P but lots of users probably won't get it. You choose.

Re: New forum sections proposal.

1) A place to discuss Autohotkey and Autohotkey accessories. 2) Discuss Autohotkey related topics here. Not a place to share code. 3) Got something Autohotkey related that isn't a piece of code? Want to share a thought or question about AHK itself? Post it here. 4) "Why is it BGR?", "Why no array->s...

Re: Listen to keystrokes during script execution

chrome is a browser. Websites typically don't have "controls" as normal windows (like notepad) have them. the website container itself is usually the control, everything in it is just... there. you need COM/selenium to directly interact with the site contents, or possibly SEND for the hacky brute-fo...

Re: Theme10 - win10 (and probably others) High Contrast theme creator.

white folder background? I no longer use high-contrast thanks to win10 having a dark explorer option now (doesn't affect programs, sadly). but I don't get "white backgrounds"? do you mean the sub-folder images? Those are generated thumbnails by the OS of the files/folders/icons/thumbnails. Delightfu...

theme10_exe.zip contains the code as .exe so you can still use it.

Re: Reminding new members to use code tags

I brought up irc as the struggle is the same. big, bold, in-yo-face indicators telling how to post code properly. Does little. A new person unwilling to read is a new person unwilling to read. Doesn't matter if on a forum, chatroom, mailinglist, at a restaurant with signs at the counter/on the table...

Re: Reminding new members to use code tags

"With the fancy IRC within a web browser" thats all fine and good if EVERYONE used the exact same client, but the majority of regulars (not one-timers) use a desktop client (of which there are many. Some going back over 20 years). the IRC protocol has no outline on how to handle code blocks, it's a ...

Re: Reminding new members to use code tags

" The message warns them about posting code, but why can't they post code directly, the IRC is about coding" you don't know what irc is do you. trying to edit peoples code when all their lines begin with usernames and timestamps is impossible. then they'd have to paste it all back in their editor wi...
